James, is one of the kindest men I have ever met. He is an amazing hairdresser, but goes the extra mile with customer service.Worth every cent!

First time at Saint James hair studio, a couple of weeks ago. James was lovely and very chatty which I loved, he clearly loves his job. However I was not very happy with my haircut and also the pricing. I asked for a trim and was left with shorter hair and it just looks uneven and blunt and heavy. Even my friends mentioned it. Same with the curtain bangs , they are just uneven and I didn’t realise it until I got home. The blow dry was not the best, she didn’t even touch my bangs , and the curling was just as bad. No sectioning , just taking big lumps of hair and curling them around the iron, it just felt wrong and looked wrong. Ended up paying way more than I was expecting for such a bad outcome.

This place is great. I booked half an hour in advance, walked in, and they were ready to go, no waiting or lines. An extremely pretty girl served me, I'm sorry, I didn't catch her name. She was lovely though. Very professional. Took care, didn't ask me too many questions or make me feel like a goof for not knowing anything about hair, and gave me a much better haircut than I am use to.The owner came out halfway through, greeted me and offered me a drink. Lovely gesture. You can tell he really cares. Seems very genuine.As a bloke, I hate going to the barber/hairdresser. Most hair salons make you feel like a caveman or an alien because you don't use any designer hair products, and most barbers are new-age hipsters with fades, flattops or modern mullets want to put slashes in eyebrow or give you a jheri curl. It was nice to go to a hairdresser that just cut hair and was polite, professional and efficient. Didn't hurt that hairdresser was pretty, wore a nice dress and smelled lovely either.I'll definitely be back, and I've let a few of my mates know as well.

I received the friendliest welcome ever and an excellent cut colour and blow dry. I highly recommend James and his talent.

I'm not from the area and I just walked in, I was greeted and felt welcomed. The chat while cutting my hair was nice an sincere and the cut was immaculate. Shoutout to James! Awesome spot.

I’m really disappointed with my haircut. I explained that I don’t like it when you can see the scalp on the sides and wanted to keep the sides longer, so no fade, and use a no.5 buzzer. As you can see in the picture he used a no.5 on the side but on the upper end of the side it’s really tiny, I don’t understand why that is. On one side it’s more noticeable than the other. It’s like a reverse fade, and looks like I have a bald spot. It just weird. I’m not a stylist but shouldn’t the hair length be blended in that area?, and I got the complete opposite of that.
