I am a secondary teacher at a special school in Brisbane and wanted to take my students on a fishing trip in the local area. We stopped in to Tackleland Sandgate to buy bait and discovered the owner had some incredible salt water fish tanks containing some of the fish we hoped to catch as well as many more amazing creatures to observe. Without any prior warning of our visit, Mark was extremely obliging and he willingly talked us through all of the wonderful fish in his tanks and shared his extensive knowledge in a way that was easily understood by my students. We truly appreciated him taking the time to talk with us and for his patience with our students.

Took three kids in for their first rods, the team went out of their way to entertain them whilst we shopped and have some local advice. I still need to go back in to show them the thumbs up fish picture though.

Did a fantastic job on restoring functions (star drag and ratchet) with parts they had in stock, on my 60 year old, 6 inch, wooden, Alvey side cast fishing reel. Couldn't be happier with the result.

Was receiving excellent advice/ information from a worker during rod purchase. Then the worker was in hot demand. And got Left with someone who was extremely rude while asking for advice. Such a shame as it would have been my new local.

First time ive been to Shorncliffe fishing.Dropped in here, and was blown away.Fantastic customer services, very friendly. Asked for some advise on Soft Plastic Colours, that are good for the area, he was very happy to help, and I was put right onto a winner, getting me a little flatty first cast. Seemed to have a great range of everything as well, and good prices. Will be my go to store, now on for that area.

This is a fascinating place, with a lot more than bait and tackle. The salt water fish tanks contain some local and very interesting fish as well as other sealife. There is also a great collection of second-hand goods for sale and even locally produced honey. The owners are also super friendly.

I went there to get a neddle to fix some netting in my play store, Mark helped me and even ordered some thread for me which I picked up the next day. He was extremely helpful and the staff very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised, haven’t received this good service in ages!!! Thank you
