I booked a pet friendly room, for my drive from Melbourne to Marcoola. I booked over the phone and the person I spoke to was only too happy to accommodate my needs. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The pet area was large and clean with lots of grass for my dog to roam around in. I also room service which was great value for money and very tasty. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation.

Uninterested staff and decomposing miceThere is a sign in the room asking for ways to improve rather than put poor reviews on social media. Well, I gave the lady a couple of opportunities to rectify the situation but she didn't seem interested. We opened the door to the most offensive odour, only to find 2 dead mice on a glue trap inside the cupboard. I understand there are areas impacted by mouse plagues but it is not acceptable to lay a trap and not check it before guests arrive. I also understand that mistakes can be made and perhaps they overlooked our room. (The smell indicated to me that they had been dead for a couple of days). My main disappointment is that it seemed quite acceptable by the lady in reception. She didn't offer to come and smell for herself, she didn't offer another room. And if there wasn't another room I would have been horrified that my guests paid good money to have to pick up and remove dead mice themselves, I would have offered at least a partial refund. But no. Nothing. No sorry, nothing. I gave her 2 chances when I asked to use some Glen 20, she explained there is a mouse problem (I get it, but not decomposing mice. I wouldn't submit this review if I was disrupted by mice). The smell was that bad we ended up buying a candle from the supermarket and used the rickety old chairs in the room to get up and dismantle the smoke alarm so we could burn it and have some relief. This purchase added to our cost for a night's sleep. (Nb. We blew the candle out when we went to sleep). I advised them when we were leaving not to hire our room for a week or so because the smell is lingering. She still didn't appear interested enough to save a customer as we will not return!!Room advertised was a queen bed. Bed in room was a double.

Blood stained bed coverings and sheets, dirty floor(food scraps under bed), went into restaurant and it was dark and empty, we’re told to go order at reception (could have mentioned that when we checked in). We mentioned the table was dirty and they gave us a dry cloth and told us to wet it it, food took an hour and wasn’t that great, my sister and I both ordered a parmi but we had different types of chicken. The power switch near microwave was broken. Girl in the restaurant seemed very nice but the one in reception was fairly rude. Pool was good

After a minor complication with our original room, we were quickly given a new room that was clean, comfortable bed and good shower.

We needed a room for the night while we were travelling through. The manager we spoke to was lovely, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the water pressure was amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

On a road trip to Melbourne this was a good place to stay. Nice and quiet, no road noise. Well kept grounds. Not sure what was going on with the Restaurant. Went over at 6, but it looked like a deserted storeroom. Pool was awesome. Nice temp and crystal clear.

Great pet friendly motel with everything you need for an overnight stay. It’s nothing fancy but that didn’t matter - beds were quite comfortable, shower was good, all the rooms have a microwave, kettle and mini fridge. There’s a pool of you feel like a dip and you can purchase beer, wine and soft drinks from the reception. They even give you a small bottle of fresh milk to make a cuppa. So much better than the long life stuff. I stayed with my two Vizslas and there’s no pet fee.
