Katherine Hot Springs

I thought it was great the name is slightly deceiving. I would call it more warm than hot. Great for kids. Just keep an eye on them in the lower pool neat the waterfall. It creates lots of bubbles, which reduces your buoyancy and it is deep there and has a slight under current. Saw an older lady, go under and come up coughing and spluttering, and a 4 yo approx do the same even with a noodle. Other than that it has some deep and shallow parts. Lots of fun.

Had two different recommendations from people ..... it's great, better than Mataranka Homestead, another said don't bother, it's not good (from 10 yrs ago). Do yourself a favour & check it out for yourselves. Access through Harrod Street, which leads you to a carpark, with easy access down to the springs. Don't go behind the Riverview Caravan Park, fair walk & not as easy to get in/out of the springs. On the day we went, they was also a great pop-up" cafe

Very nice and refreshing swimming spot. Perfect for the hot weather.A lot of parking spots.

Lovely hot springs that are free and looks really cool. Well shaded. Short walk from the car park.

A great spot for a relaxing swim after a long dusty drive. Water is clear and warm and area is clean and well maintained. Coffee and meals at the nearby pop up cafe/restaurant (when it’s open) are also excellent quality and reasonably priced.

Beautiful spot, a must see if you're up this way. Bitter springs whilst not as polished is in my opinion nicer.........bring a pool noodle or two if ya fat

If you are in the area I recommend you stop by. BEAUTIFUL! water is nice and warm and super clear you can take a little walk and check out the waterfall and have a swim there too. At the top there is a cafe you can grab a coffee or something to eat. Great for everyone!!

A great place to spend a few relaxing hours. You can start at the top via a ladder entrance and work your way down stream. Over a couple of rapids, under the bridge, and down the relaxing stream before the final 'waterfall'. It's a fun trip. Conversely you can just plonk in one of the pools and relax. Either way it's an amazing treat.Easy access via the ramp and stairs from the carpark.
