MBM Rooty Hill

Reformed preaching. Friendly people. Great worship.My son regularly attends this church and has felt really welcomed here. I was just visiting from Brisbane, although I've visited here 10 years before. The church has been consistently serving it's community for many years, great look and feel. Inspiring Bible based and reformed preaching. Some great music, and friendly people. Awesome.

We searched for a church that teaches the bible clearly for a long time before we found MBM. We wanted to know about God but didn't want all the religious stuff and rules that other churches taught -which aren't in the bible. Now after 15years we are continuing to be taught and supported and we have grown strong relationships with the people we will be spending eternity with. We now attend the MBM South West Sydney site at Smithfield Public School at 10am. It is closer to home and Sunday morning is our favourite time of the week. Look out for me if you come. You can't miss me - the chatty , short, curly haired lady :)

MBM is a keystone in the community. The services are information, educational and inspiring. There is toddler care and child care. The musical support is fantastic.

Great bible believing church with sound doctrine straight from the Word. Great community and fellowship with opportunities to grow in faith and serve others. I've been coming to MBM for the past 4 years and absolutely love it! I've grown so much in my faith from the teaching and Bible studies.It's also very multicultural and welcoming. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you're around Rooty Hill/Sydney West.

The church is really big so after the sermons you meet and sit next to different people each week. This makes it incredible difficult to form meaningful connections and friendships week after week. I've also seen a case whereby churchgoers form cliques and stick with their friendship groups, especially if they've been at the church for many years. They do not make an active effort to welcome newcomers, especially non-christians. Even if people are friendly at first, they will soon forget about you. The bible study groups have also been sorted in a way where people have different interests and if you can't find a close friend or someone similar to you, apart from learning more about Bible and the God, attending does not become that meaningful since you can do the same study online or with your own family. Pastors and senior ministry should make an effort to reach out to new people, do volunteering, help homeless etc. instead of focusing solely on church funds and inward growth. Also consider who is actually using church resources. Are they old church goers, in which case evangelism has failed or are they new people? Ministry should also be less rigid, be more loving and not be stuck in a christian bubble of enjoying their own church community without understanding or caring about those who are less fortunate or not finding grounding in the church.

Solid reformed teaching. People are just like those at any other church, full of sinners from different walks, stages of life and spiritual growth. Praise God for MBM, a church that seeks to minister to and grow disciples of Christ.

Not as good as Drummoyne Presbyterian but still decent coz Adam goes there.
