We play trivia at Salt Bar every week – the many regular teams that turn up week after week love trivia with host Matt, and the holiday-makers who join also have a great night. It’s such a fun time due to the fact that Matt, who runs it, is such an affable guy. He is fair minded and funny and he puts so much into the smooth running of the night. Salt Bar is the local place to be – it has proven to be a great pub to meet new friends and enjoy all provided amenities including the tasty bistro menu, sports events on the big screens, and other social activities - one member of our team is part of the footy tipping team and two others have commenced playing in the monthly Golf day. The trivia experience benefits from the hospitality and generosity of the whole Salt Bar team, with much good-natured banter especially between Matt and the bartenders. Our team has made several friendships with the other regulars and new teams are always welcomed into the friendly atmosphere!

Generous servings, full of flavour. We visited twice during our week long stay.Curry night allowed us to try 2 dishes (see photos) and they were both delicious.Another night we enjoyed ribs & prawn bruschetta.Great for families.

Excellent service and atmosphere - Meg was absolutely lovely and attentive! Thank you for the recommendation of the Seafood Marinara, it did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious food and drinks, we'll be back!

A great local pub with ample seating and an extensive menu.The playground is suitable for all ages as one section is catered to toddlers and the other for the big kids.The food was tasty and did not take long to come out. We had no issue getting a table however went around 5pm. On the weekends I would advise to book.

The staff were incredible and always happy to help, even with my friends making a mess of the table. Always happy to help and definitely deserve a raise after dealinf with that.The food was perfect and the parmi was massive. High price but worth the cost, same with the drinks. Fruit tingle was deliciousThe other customers were way more chill than us, and i hope they enjoyed our shenanigans

Ordered a seafood tower.Presentation was beautiful.The bugs & prawns were 10/10, highly recommended.Good atmosphere and sitting on the deck was great.The only improvement was chips could have been more crunchy but all in all, I was impressed

The photos do not represent what is served up here anymore.Revised Review as at Mar 2020.Meal was expensive for very ordinary pub food. I guess the previous head Chef has moved on. Ordered a prime rib steak $38 med rare and got a thin cut, med - well done, dried out piece of meat with a soggy salad, watery mushroom sauce and packet chips. Very unimpressive. The place is showing need of renovation e.g. moldy looking spots on the ceiling.Used to come here regularly, won't be in a hurry to come back. Checked out what was being delivered to other tables and it certainly didn't match any of the photos here. It all looked pretty ordinary.Previous Review 2018 was 5* :Plenty of tasty options to choose from.Seafood platter for 2 is good value and quality.Has a huge indoor / outdoor area which is perfect in summer, allowing sea breeze & the sound of the ocean. Clears (blinds) are pulled down when the weather is cooler or if there is heavy rain with wind.Family restaurant with play area for kids, so sometimes there's a lot of shrill kid noise. Avoid school holidays if that's a problem.

Nice location, nice staff. I had a chicken in coconut salad, modern/updated menu . The noise level/music is loud, so its exhausting trying to have a conversation.

Staying at the mantra this was our go to for lunch and dinner. Dog friendly outside. Friday night the 16th Dec the guy on guitar was fantastic and we didn’t leave until 10pm. The guy on Saturday night was playing elevator music which made us leave early. Staff are great. Meals are great and you can order from your table.
