One of the larger pet stores with a bigger variety in the city area. The staff are friendly and approachable and you can tell they love their pets. Also their resident cockatoo was very patient and kept me company while I shopped near it.

Rocky the dog loves coming here. Loyal customer he is. 6+ years. Jay or Rainbow both do an amazing job at pampering him with his haircuts. The staff have always been friendly to me and him. They call to give me updates on appointment cancelations and/or if any issues with Rocky. He is now ready for summer. Thank you for being such a beautiful team. :--) +luv

The bettas are kept in tiny jars that leave no room for them to move let alone have their needed space, causing them unneeded stress that can result in illness and eventual death, such illnesses that will spread to your other fish! Buyers beware!Reply: I don't doubt you change their tiny little jar water, but by keeping them in said jars you are stressing them to the point of sickness. It's pathetic, I don't care if you follow every legal guideline around room temp and water control, regardless you are harming these fish to avoid paying more and thereby maximising profits.

Leaving a 1 star review due to price. 166 for a bag of royal canin. The tag said 145 and i got to the counter and it said 166. Checked online and other retailers selling the same bag for 120. Very greedy.

Advertised as open at 7am on Saturdays, rushed here to get antibiotics for an ill animal, at 7:15 store was locked and no one answering the phone, nothing I can see on the door re: opening hours etc. Someone pulled up in a blue car with a custom/pet related numberplate and looked at the shop and drove off, not sure if that was the owner or staff or a coincidenceUsually I'd say the 7am thing was a typo as every other day lists 8am, but both Google and their own website has the 7am Sat start.Edit: Owner replied saying they don't stock antibiotics, but a friend has bought triple C here (chlortetracycline, an antibiotic) under the vetafarm name. Most places stock it as part of their product line, and we were under instruction from a vet to purchase and start this immediately for a sick chick. Chick is doing well now and the needed supplies were bought elsewhere to see him through until an avian vet could see us. The reply they left to me almost implies a lack of vet care etc on my end here, which is not the case. Also, having bought aquarium supplies here before they have antibiotics for fish under the seachem and other brands. It's disingenuous for the owner to throw back a 'we are not vets we do not have this product' when they, like most other stores, do carry basic first line first aid, and some of those products are indeed antibiotic agents (others are antiparasitic, or antifungal, etc). You should always get vet help for ill animals, but sometimes that help involves starting first line treatments which are avaliable through pet shops until your appointment, as was the case here.Edit 2: And they seem to have deleted their response.

Woah. That was a visit like no other! Have been to this store numerous times. Looks alike a dump, but has a good range and staff who really know their stuff. Today however, a person who I assume is the owner (manager at the very least) deemed it appropriate to have a performance conversation with a team member right beside the cash register. Regardless of validity of such a conversation, I felt it was completely unprofessional. The phrase, one more strike and you're out" was used. As a people manager myself

Bettas kept in tiny jars, no quality of life whatsoever. Inhumane treatment of fish here!!! Also overpriced.Edit: temperature controlled rooms or not- the fish are in a tiny jar with a fraction of the water they require. Even with water parameters in check these fish are under significant stress and boredom which will make them susceptible to illnesses. NOT adequate care at all, just greedy owners cramming in more fish for profit. Pitiful. Stop misleading customers who do not know any better.

My posting concerns the small part of this shop where you enter a colourful doorway and go down to a shop full of fish, reptiles and the accessories associated with their care. There is no wheelchair access and the staircase is steep but if you are able it is worth a look.
