Ipswich Civic Centre

Not impressed with this place at all. We arrived a bit late because there is no onsite parking so you have to find parking down the street. When we finally got in the show had already started so we were in a rush to get to our seats. When we got to our seats people were seating in our seats . We told the people in our seats that they were ours and they said the attendant told them to sit there because someone was in their seat. So they refused to move. So in the end two kids had to sit on our laps instead of sitting in the seats we paid for! We tried to tell the staff at the end of the show what happened and they said there was nothing they could do now. Absolutely disgusting when we paid for our seats. The people shouldn't have been told to even sit in our seats in the first place. I will not be going back to this venue again.

Wonderful atmosphere. Had the best time seeing The Best of Bee Gees. A little cramped in but nonetheless a great place to visit.

First time here. Small spaces on the lower floor not sure about the top.

Has always been a beautiful welcoming Atmosphere when I have visited to see Various Entertainers and Functions. Staff are always Friendly and Helpful to direct you to your seating etc. Keep up the good work. Would like to be on your mailing list for Events Etc.

I enjoy going to concerts and shows at this venue.The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is street parking, best if you are there a little early.Often they have their restaurant open for pre show meals. It is best to book. There is also a bar. Despite the fact the coffee comes out of a push button machine it is very good.The ticket prices could well be cheaper than the same show in Brisbane.Get along. It's great. This is a very special place for me, as I received my Australian Citizenship there. This was one of the most important moments of my life. The site was very nice not super big and not small just the right size, I felt very comfortable and the site looks perfect for any type of event.

Great venue to watch local actors and actresses get their performances on. Bar area and alfresco dining on the top deck. Clean and spacious. Parking is a bit of an issue with mostly paid street parking. I was surprised at the scale of performance this venue attracts and will be keeping an eye out for more plays in the future.

Cosy and intimate theatre, perfect for shows for a smaller and engaged audience. Reasonable acoustics. Exits can be overly crowded at the end of a show, though.Lots of street and other parking within easy walking distance, with eateries and some pubs close by.

We had such a great night, but the only downside was how tight the seating was. Everyone needed to stand up so you can get by.

Went to watch a Dance Eisteddfod, and thoroughly enjoyed it....The Centre was clean and the afternoon was mostly, well organised.....
