Ignore all of the negative reviews. This place has been life changing for my little boy & he loves it. We are blessed to have Lizard Centre (Melb). Management, Scheduling, Therapists & entire staff have been incredible. All of the other parents i've met at Lizard Centre love it just as much as I do. Thank you Lizard Centre!

Lizard is not kid friendly at all. All they think is money ! Had my son ‘s interview a year ago and the person who did initial assessment didnt even say hello to my child. All she was worried about, was our funding and the hours that they can organise therapy for their own business.

Melbourne centre is great. The therapists are so so helpful.I received maximum amount of help from therapists from Melbourne centre than from any other professionals looking after my child.

I would like to leave 0 stars for my experience with lizard. So disappointing dealing with and investing my time with this company. Firstly I was invited to come and attend ABA training and was told there’d be an assessment at the end. I didn’t realise that I’d be judged unfairly, mixed up with another Melissa during the assessment, and assumed I had the job. Sarah, who booked me in was very unprofessional talking about her holiday coming up and wanting leave. Not sure why this was being mentioned to me. The training day was great, the assessor was friendly and professional, I received very good feedback on the day.I am over qualified for this role given I have 1:1 behaviour therapy experience with 2 children, a diploma of children’s services, 5 years experience working with children in child care and kinder settings, I’m nearly a qualified occupational therapist, with recent experience working in paediatrics with children who have ASD and global developmental delays. When I was told I was unsuccessful in this role, I asked for feedback so that I could understand why & how to improve and was basically told by Sarah that she wasn’t there and is just reading the notes. She then mentioned the feedback said I was on my phone but this is entirely false I never touched my phone during the training. Myself and another Melissa were being mixed up on the day. I then asked Sarah if perhaps one of the assessor’s could ring me and she said she’d get them to email me back. The following day she emailed me to tell me my skill sets don’t align with what lizard is looking for as most of the candidates were studying psychology. If lizard is only wanting psychology students and not a qualified occupational therapist with years of experience working with children, why was I invited down to begin with? Why waste my time if I apparently don’t possess the right skill sets. It doesn’t make sense and it’s just not professional. This whole experience has been so upsetting to me. I had a final phone call from Sarah who then mentions that she’s not going to get an assessor to call or email me back even though I’d just like to understand why I wasn’t seen favourably and she said no plain and simply. It’s just very rude and unprofessional, especially when I went through so much effort to clear myEntire day and come down for the 6.5 hour unpaid training session. For them to not provide me with proper feedback is unfair.

Edit - this is a much delayed edit. Guys at Lizard got in touch with me soon after my review and tried to work out a solution. I have seen taking my son to the centre - though the commute is painful, we are getting some great therapy.Wasted my child's precious three months waiting to hear from them after placing him on a waitlist, which should have been 2-3 months. The service never bothered to call back and when I called them, I was told that they don't have therapists to service the area we are in. The person from the service said said it was a recent issue"

Am absolute pleasure to deal with. Our boy has shown so much improvement in the short amount of time he's been attending the centre.
