Mount Morgan Historical Museum
We spent ages going through here, so interesting to learn about the history of Mt Morgan Gold Mine, surrounding areas and the pioneer times. Out the back was an old hearse, fire engine and Vespa motorbike. Very comprehensive museum, with lots to see. Allow lots of time.

Worth a visit if you are in Mount Morgan. Don’t get deterred by the dinosaur. There were plenty of history in there. Good for family also.

Awesome, took few hundred photos of stuff over a hundred years old, very interesting go see for yourself, only $6 admission plenty to see from horse and carts, fire engines, every invention the last 100 years or so, pretty cool displays

We stopped here whilst visiting some mine sites in the area on business.They hold some wonderful photos of Mount Morgan in the gold rush days along with some very interesting articles.I am presuming it is manned by volunteers so I am thankful to them for keeping the historical mining industry alive. The only downside was when asking them for directions they only seemed to know the main tourist spots and couldn’t help.If you are wanting to know more about Mount Morgan they have a very interesting book on the area.
