My Musical Adventure - Kindermusik & Simply Music Piano

My daughter has come leaps and bounds in 1 year from knowing almost no piano to playing the piano confidently all the time, even in large crowds. She knows over 40 songs and can play any of them when asked. She also is able to make up her own songs.It's a joy for me to hear her play each day.Kathleen her teacher is great with her!

I am a retiree. Being a layman to any musical instrument, I boldly started my keyboard lessons with Kathleen two years ago. If not for her patience and encouragement, I would have quit long time ago and missed a lot of fun. Kathleen was always kind and gentle, guiding me at a pace that I felt comfortable with. It is an eye opening experience for me and I now really enjoy playing the keyboard for the songs I like. Thank you Kathleen.

I am one of the mature students of Kathleen. Two years ago, I knew nothing about piano and keyboard. Now I understand and know some of the basic musical symbols and notes in the musical notes and play the song. I really appreciate her commitment, inspiration and patience during the period. My son is 3 years old now and has been seeing Kathleen since he was 10 months old. Almost every other day he asks me if “its Ms. Kathleen’s class today”.. his excitement knows no bounds when he is getting ready for the class every Sunday morning. In the last 2 years, from babies class to pre-schoolers’ class, we’ve seen him grow to appreciate notes, music and musical instruments around him. Sometimes when we are in the car he’ll tell us to play a particular song again or sing along a song we heard at the class. He has also been lucky to win 2 Sydney Opera House Baby Prom tickets from one of the competitions at My Musical Adventure.We travel from Parramatta every week to be at her class. We don’t mind the distance as we all love this class and it’s our favourite part of the day!On a personal note – Kathleen has a pleasing personality, and really patient with all the kids. She knows how to get the best behaviour out from any kid. We highly recommend her classes and I’m sure we won’t stop seeing her until she’s in the music business and he can absorb from her. I’ve found both teachers Kathleen and Patricia to be friendly, fun and supportive.My sensitive little daughter enjoys being in a fun no pressure environment. Her sensory and social skills keep improving. She especially enjoys the singing and story time and seeing all the other little ones.Overall I consider My Musical Adventure to be a worthwhile fun educational experience during such an important time of development. I would highly recommend joining.

My 7 and 5 year old sons joined Kathleen's Simply Music program 2 months ago and simply fell in love with it! The 7yo plays the piano several times a day (whenever he feels like it) on his own accord, and the boys sometimes fight over whose turn it is next...The best thing about the program is that it gives students that enjoyment and confidence very quickly, very early on. I mean, who wouldn't be excited about being able to play a handful of beautiful songs within weeks of starting lessons? The fun in the progress and the sense of achievement are the best motivators for anyone. Thank you Kathleen for making all this possible! :)

Our 5 five year old daughter Anna has been enjoying My Musical Adventure for the last 2 years. The musical concepts are introduced gradually and presented in a context which is fun and interesting. Anna always looks forward to her classes and we have appreciated the thought and dedication Kathleen brings to the lessons. Highly recommended.

Every Thursday afternoon becomes Emily's most favorite time, because she will have her Musical class. She enjoys the various kinds of activities in class. Many Thanks to her teacher Kathleen. You help Emily to open a door to the interesting Musical world. I highly recommend Kathleen and her class to more Kids.Time always goes fast, Emily has finished the whole KinderMusic Young Child class. She had learned a lot of from this class, she can play some tunes on the glockenspiel, dulcimer and recorder. The more important point is that Emily eagers to learn and participate more than before. We appreciate her teacher Kathleen a very good music teacher.

I first found out about Musical Adventure by googling music activities offered during school holidays. There was this week-long workshop run by Kathleen the owner of The Musical Adventure, based on Kindermusik. At first I did not know what the expect, neither did my daughter. There were some individual/group activities, a little bit of craft and some musical instruments to play. After the first class I thought it was quite expensive for a playgroup-type thing. However, I was beyond surprised when I noticed that my daughter remembered the songs played in the class, and remembered the animals that she had learned (zebra, giraffe, polar bear, etc. and she was 1.5 years old). I enrolled her for another workshop and then a full term of Kindermusik. After one full term, I noticed that she has learned so much from it - tempo (fast, slow), softness/loudness, rhythm, how to play simple instruments, etc. She has also shown marked improvement in following instructions in a class environment. Each term comes with a CD which we can play at home and she enjoys the music a lot (I mean, A LOT - we listen to this CD EVERYDAY). While the classes are not cheap, I see the value in it.In addition, Kathleen is patient with children and always very quick to respond messages. We will definitely be re-enrolling again.

My daughters have thoroughly enjoyed the My Musical Adventure program. She loved every minute of it! Having the cds has meant that we can continue the fun at home and in the car. Ms. Kathleen is an amazing teacher, always engaging and fun! - thank you Kathleen!
