I read the previous one star review and I was also a guest that day and feel that this review was unjustified. The food and service was wonderful as usual and the guest who posted this review we all felt was rude and disrespectful to the staff. I suggest you make up your own minds by visiting this lovely spot on the east coast.

The place is easy to find, if you are finding a place for lunch when doing road trip on A3, this restaurant is good for you. Taco and burger were delicious enough, duck breast was special for us. However, they serve the dishes one by one, which resulted in others finishing their meal while mine hasn't been served yet. It might be because of the busy weekend.

Such a beautiful place. Fantastic staff and food. Had our daughters wedding celebration there last week. Everything was great. Only thing was that we had a set menu and when deciding on one option didn't realise it had lots of coriander which alot of guests didn't eat. Otherwise there was plenty of food.

A nice restaurant to stop at while doing a road trip through the area. The meals were very well presented and delicious. The serving size was good as well. I loved the atmosphere overall. Even though we were advised there was only one chef, the meals arrived in decent time without any issues.This stop makes your road trip a little more fun. Also staff was very friendly and you often meet other travellers which was so much fun for me to chat to them.

Mel's Kitchen is such a hidden gem! We drove past the signs and booked the lunch via Facebook. The process was easy and fuss free. The restaurant overlooks the vineyard with the valleys in the background. The food was absolutely done to a perfect balance. We had the fries, Southern fried chicken tacos, and scallops on cauliflower mash with chorizo crumbs. I would recommend trying all the three above! Fresh ingredients, well balanced refreshing flavours, a place you do not want to miss!

Absolute gem of a place! Delicious food and a view to match. We really enjoyed the wine pairing with the food. Stumbled across it on our travels but will be back.

A great eatery at Springvale Winery on the east coast of Tassie just north of Swansea Bookings recommended. You purchase your wines from tge winery cellar door and can also have a tasting. The seasonal food is well cooked uaing local produce where possible.

This place is a MUST! The food was insanely delicious. The staff were all so welcoming and made our visit so special. Thank you to Mel and the lovely staff for the incredible food and hospitality. We are definitely coming back when we can!
