I had my first experience at Kürtősh recently after a recommendation. I know that not all the comments on here are positive and you can't please everyone, but this place serves the goods!I'm a coffee fiend, and the coffee served here is good - strong enough to give you the hit you need without being overbearing, but the superstar of Kürtősh are the sweets.I'm not a sweets person, but even I was persuaded to have a try at the amazing creations that were in the display windows.One of the real benefits I found here were the hours of operation, Kürtősh is open until 2200hrs. Something which is a rarity in Brisbane and offers those who want a coffee after hours a treat.

Love this cafe! The kurtosh (chimney cakes) are made fresh, come in different flavours and are delicious!!! Love the other cakes also and the coffee.

I was SO excited to visit Kurtosh on our trip to Brisbane. I have visited Kurtosh a couple of times in Sydney and it was the best and always my first place to visit on a trip. Unfortunately my previous experiences at Kurtosh were not matched.Our coffees were okay, a bit bitter.There were a couple of gluten free cake options which was nice. Things weren't clearly labelled as gluten free so I had to confirm with staff. The cakes we did order were nice but I found they had kind of a 'fridgey' taste like it had been sitting in a fridge for too long- I'm sure you know the taste I mean.Overall an underwhelming experience unfortunately.

A vibrant cafe offering a great selection of desserts and their famous kürtösh. The service could be improved and their ordering system can be simplified. The dessert portion is chosen by the client based on a slice of 100 grams. The coffee and hot chocolate are beautiful.

Lovely environment with friendly staff. Delicious cakes. A bit disappointed that they didn't have kurtosh at the time but will definitely come back again to try them!

Delicious cakes! Favourites are the Strawberry pistachio shortcake, red velvet, and matcha tiramisu. But they're all good. Service is delightful and coffees are great too. Only downside is my expanding waistline.

My first time trying out this dessert which my friend recommended and has been to on a couple of occasions. It's Hungarian pastry that smells like a cinnamon donut. I was expecting it to taste like a donut but it was completely different.We ordered the Nutella flavour and it surprisingly wasn't too overpowering or too sweet; it was just right.

Stuff friendly but always busy here and cake is okay in Brisbane .Cafe okay and maybe order tea is better.I like strawberry with pistachio cake .

be warned pieces of cake are super small and a bit of a rip off. bought two pieces of cake for $6.90 each. then got a shock how small the pieces are. realised the sign says $6.90 per 100g. pls be warned and be ready for some expensive and tiny pieces of cake. also our piece of $6.90 carrot cake looked so scrappy as seen in photos. the piece of cake on plate is before we started eating, that cost $6.90 enjoy.

Finally we have a decent dessert place in inner city. This is gonna be our go-to dessert shop now. Tiramisù was great but wish it was more alcoholic.
