McNamara Park

This remains one of our favourite park/campgrounds. There's plenty of space here, absolutely no need to pull-up right beside someone else's rig! There's also a few spots where a few travellers can set up away from others. Still perfectly situated in the middle of the Broke Fordwich wine area, with a servo/bottle shop across the road, and a lovely cafe only a ten minute stroll from camp.

We have stayed at McNamara Park a few times before, great free camp and great access to Hunter Valley wineries and attractions. It appears that some work is being done, perhaps road widening which looks like some of the park may be used. Not sure though.

This is a fairly large campground, surrounded by bush. The park does have some basic facilities (picnic tables, rubbish bins and toilets). However you will need to be mostly self sufficient. This Park is mostly large flat grassed areas and some shady spots (however there is some marked 'over matured' trees to be mindful of when choosing your spot). This park is suitable for caravans, campers, motorhomes as well as tents.There is a kids playground and skate park a short walk away as well as the Broke Village Store which includes: petrol station, bottle shop, takeaway food, cafe, pub, post office and general store.This is a free camping area.No bookings can be made and there is a 3 day limit.✅ flushing toilets incl. disabled.❌ no power available.✅ There is usually drinking water available at this campsite. Please take care, it may still be advisable to boil water before drinking.❌ No bbqs are provided.❌ No showers are provided.

Great camping spot. There are plenty of sites and a toilet block. No showers. Two or three day stay. Free camping.

Great place amongst nature well and mature trees it’s well maintained and clean. Would stay there again

This park is full of newly unfortunate homeless families due to government action and inactions, council run and regularly sends police and rangers to kik the homeless out. Time in the park has been reduced to 2 days to combat the homeless who have nowhere to go. Singleton council should be ashamed. After talking to homeless people in the park, i was disgusted by government and council. For every rental, there are now 560 aplicants. Low income earners arent considered, 4 to 5 hundred bucks for a rental is out of reach for 74% of aussie low/middle income. I am disgusted to be in one of the richest countries and see this happening

Excellent camping ground and gets a lot of use on long weekends.Most people are respectful of other campers, just the odd few that aren't.Place gets left relatively clean by most, again occasional few don't.The showers and toilets that are currently there were a big hit with campers, however it is known they are part of the town recovery and not the camping facilities.Council keep this place well, along with the local residents.

We love camping here. It's just great for a quick 3 night getaway with family and friends. It's free, there are clean flushing toilets, dog friendly, fires allowed as long as properly contained and extinguished when you leave.

Very busy on holiday periods. No toilet paper so take your own. Other then that not a bad place to take children for camping.
