Poor levels of communication within everyone. Relying too much on agency. NDIS funding is limited. No care on clients and staff. Coordinators are overstressed by their managers. Full of neglect. More worried about profit than the people they are supposed to care about.

Please venture with caution. In my short time working with this organisation, the level of care, the response, the internal communications and the transparency of working conditions have been beyond abysmal in my honest opinion.I am of the reasonable belief based upon my personal experience working under CamCan that they are operating questionably when it comes to the payment of workers (amongst a plethora of issues). In short, my timesheets were edited without my permission, previous dates were incorporated into current timesheets, communication between management was lacking in that coordinators were under the impression I was working shifts (asked me the day of, with mere hours to go) despite me informing my superior 6 days prior that I could not work the shift in question. But the major issue is the lack of transparency, and in my honest opinion the intentional obfuscation of pay rates. The signed contract stated a series of pay rates but the flat rate (which they apply for weekend overnight shifts, something I only found out post pay) is not defined. It states as “directed by your coordinator”, hence my confusion as my coordinator did not state that a flat rate would apply and what said flat rate figure would constitute. That is where this major issue is.The contract does not define the flat rate that has been applied and it was never conveyed to me.I sent my calculations that were done in accordance with the pay schedule as defined in my signed contract to my coordinator to confirm or explain the flat rate as I had my suspicions following the editing of my timesheets without my consent. This document was ignored. At that time I was concerned that I had not been informed of the lower pay rate due to the editing of my time sheet.Once I received the pay slip and pay, it was confirmed that the pay schedule as signed by myself on the 23rd of May, did not apply.I went from being under the impression according to the signed contract that I would be earning ~$758.88 per 15 hour shift to the majority of the shift, moving to a ~$17 per hour rate. Far below minimum wage. Once again, let me state that this flat rate and it's figure, was not once conveyed to myself by the coordinator.Furthermore, such shifts are verging on questionable territory as the 12 hours (@ ~$17ph), are very far removed from inactive, with worker's expected to monitor the client for the entire 12 hours for seizures, assist with multiple bathroom visits, water refills and general assistance throughout the night. All far exceeding the allowed two hours ofAs seizures alone, can occur at any time, this overnight period far exceeds the inactive award rate. If staff are required to actively monitor the client, they should receive the correct pay - the lower amount (~$17ph) is for when staff may sleep the entire period.Furthermore, in addition to pay, CamCan has shifted far from adhering to the SCHADS Award stipulations in my reasonable belief and honest opinion. Below minimum wage rates for 15 hour shifts providing high levels of care to a high needs individual is in my opinion, morally wrong.Lastly, the in fighting, conflicting directives between those supported and their family members and of course the overall work culture, are all rather worrying.Personally, I would proceed with caution if wanting to undertake employment with this company as they are not following award rates and stipulations and worse still, actively ignoring and intentionally not stating their flat rates to employees. I also have personal concerns in regard to allowing this agency to care for vulnerable individuals (my honest opinion and of my reasonable belief again).
