Over all my experiences at the facility has been fun, warm and enjoyable. Fun place and my daughter loves it. Staff has been kind and most times helpful. The only gripe I have is being charged an additional $2 each time I want to watch my daughter's swim lessons when I'm already paying for the swim lessons. I'm told this is called a spectator fee and it's NONSENSE.

Clean facilities, spacious complete gym equipment, friendly and helpful staff. Binh and Julia are my favorite very lovely staff.

Great facilities but you’d have to have hair dryers to get five stars

Before I get into the bad part, would like to say that the 1 star is for the great instructors that tought my kids how to swim. The 0 stars part is for the policies this place has, the rude staff and dirty facilities. Here are few callouts for readers to consider:1. My daughter does classes in the big pool but I need to make sure to look after her when playing in the 50cm deep pool. She is 9 y.o. and needs adults supervision unless she is 10.2. You have to pay a fee to attend your kids classes, despite you already being charged for the classes. Also this rule clashes with item 1.3. Staff are rude and conddencending with questions like: Where are your kids? (They were 2m away from me just FYI); Do you know how old your kids are? and my favorite, You need to pay a viewing fee to cover expenses, for example what we would do when a visitor has a heart attack? They could do with some simple human interaction training all these rude staff.4. Facilities...showers, toilets and family changing rooms remind me of the drop toilets when camping in the middle of the forest. You guys need to start cleaning them.5. 1 adult can only watch 2 kids. Today I saw a lady with 3 kids that was not allowed to get in and use the kids 50cm deep pool because her approximately 3 y.o., 5 y.o and 7y.o. were 3 to one adult and she couldn't supervise them. Lucky there was someone from the community that offered to look after one kid so they could get in.Hey council, this is a very poor rule for a woman that looks after 3 kids 24/7 but seems to be unfit to manage them in a kids pool. Or if you think your rule is right you should offer assistance to parents that have to look after 2+ kids simultaneously. To summarise, rude staff, rules that only someone with no kids can make and dirty facilities make this place a 0 star. But I guess you can get away with all these because you are paid by my rates, my lessons fees and there isn't another option.

We do kids swimming lessons here and I think it's the best. Normally ive seen my son do the same thing every week here they mix it up about from the norm or routine. I love it

Great pool and one of the few places in Melbourne you can actually use the diving blocks (although they’re the older style without wedges). Good parking, facilities. Could do with more water fountains and updated change rooms but the pool itself is great which is the main thing.

Clean, friendly staff, pool temperatures are perfect (warmer fun pool and cooler lap pool). It can get very busy with swim lessons and swim squads, resulting in a small amount of available lanes - currently reduced to 25m. Loses a star as most of the family change rooms are currently out of action which makes it very hard for mixed gender family changing!

Good place to go for a swim. Entrance fees used to be so cheap, and spectators didn't have to pay 2$. I am disappointed in these changes. There are also a few minor hygiene problems, such as people spitting on the ground or the occasional used bandaid in the pool, though these are to be expected.

I recently visited Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre for my children swimming lessons and had a terrible experience. One of the staff members, the manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He accused me of not supervising my children when I was clearly keeping an eye on them, and even threatened to contact the police. My children were embarrassed and upset by the way he treated us.As a person of color, I feel that the manager actions were discriminatory and targeted towards me and my children.I do not recommend this place and urge others to consider alternative options for their aquatic needs.I hope that the management will take steps to ensure that their employees are trained to treat customers with respect and professionalism.
