Lawnton State School
Got two kids in Lawnton SS this year, year 4 and a preppy and can I just say that we have never had so much fun at a school than how we do now. Amazing faculty and programs, great systems and communication. Next year I will have three kids in and I just love that we have found a school that feels like home ♥️ -Alice Jackson

Lawnton isn't just a school its a community! Pop into cafe 4501 for a cuppa next time you come in.In 4 years I've watch this school boom into a wonderful evolving school. New Hall new admin building AC for all students are just some things were working on. Come join our P&C have a yarn and share some feedback.

We considered a few different methods of schooling for our preppy. Independent, Steiner and homeschooling. For various reasons none of these options were the perfect fit so we searched out of our catchment to find the best option for our family. Small & community minded was what we were after and we absolutely feel as though we’ve struck gold with Lawnton. We have all fitted in so easily and are so very grateful to the dedicated staff for making the transition from Community kindergarten such an easy one. Keep dreaming big Lawnton, we’re so grateful to be a part of the family!

This school can not do enough for its students. From the class teacher, teacher aids, learning support to the tuck shop and admin staff. They have totally impressed me. It's like walking into a huge extended family every day. Totally recommend this school to anyone with students from prep to year 6.

As a parent who was seriously considering home schooling after realising Steiner was out of reach financially, Lawnton State School has been a wonderful experience for our family. The leadership shown by staff is second to none and the community they have created is full of hope and vision for their students. DreamBig isn’t an empty promise at Lawnton, it’s an achievable goal for each and every child and their family.

We can't imagine sending our four children anywhere else. The teachers, teachers aids and parent volunteers are so incredible.We were extremely impressed with the leadership program, our oldest son got to experience first hand. Our second son is absolutely loving being apart of the computer (ICT) program, our third son loves Laser the lion and our daughter can't wait to start prep next year. We highly recommend Lawnton State school to anyone who would like their children to Dream Big"."

What a wonderful little community school. The staff genuinely care about the welfare of the students. They put on heaps of community events a year for families to get involved in like colour fun run, bush dance, outdoor movie night, pj and book night to name a few. The staff actually stand at the gates at the end of the day high fiving the kids or blowing bubbles at them. They deal with any issues that arise in positive manner and will go the extra mile to ensure that your child's learning needs are met. So glad to be part of such a beautiful little school.

My granddaughter just started prep this year and I have tried to go to as many events as possible. Sports days, dress up days, fun days that they've had. These events have just been so much fun, and well organised. All the students, teachers and headmistress, get involved and look out for each other. My granddaughter seems to love the school, all the kids there seem to be happy and well connected. Looks to be a happy school, and I hope it continues on like that.

Lawnton State School
I cannot recommend this school enough. It is more than a school it is a family and you are apart of more than just education.From the support the principal, teachers, teacher aides and support staff and the admin provide to the children is above and beyond what you could ever ask for. They are all approachable and always there for a chat or to answer any questions you have regarding your child. Lawnton State School is a community one my children and I am proud to be apart.
