Grattai Grove

This MUST be on your bucket list ! Photos and website are not reflective of the picture-perfect landscape. Grattai Grove is serenity and tranquility defined, with all the comforts and then some. The views are heavenly and the cottage itself is beautifully built with obviously loving and crafted hands.Annaleana and Norbert are most warm and caring as hosts, with their entourage of Leo and Hunter (dogs). Our 8 year old son needed no devices with Leo as his companion exploring the magnificent surroundings. Thank you for sharing your pride and joy with us. We will be returning shortly.

We had a wonderful time at Grattai Grove. We loved the gentle and lovely landscape, the walks through vineyards and olive groves, the abundant flowers and trees, one highlight being the two black swans in one of the dams. The atmosphere is absolutely inspiring. Anna and Norbert are perfect hosts and warm-hearted persons.The cottage and the retreat are gems. They are beautifully furnished and decorated and you can immediately feel at home. The verandah of the cottage is a place to write world literature.

What a beautiful property! Grattai Grove was our first experience of the Mudgee region, and it exceeded our expectations on all fronts. It was the perfect week away in the country side with friends and the kids, with something for everyone. The cottage itself is really well appointed, spacious and homey. We loved the decks for morning coffee or sundowners and to view the amazing starry sky after dark. We swam in the dam, the kids fed the animals, picked olives with the owner to bring home to cure, enjoyed peaceful early morning walks around the olive grove spotting kangaroos and beautiful birds, nights by the fire and the country drives to local towns. The dogs visited regularly and joined us on walks which was a lovely addition to the welcoming hospitality of Norbert and Anna who are very generous hosts and definitely went the extra mile to make our stay special, thanks so much, we'll be back!

Grattai Grove is a beautiful and peaceful place for a weekend ( we just wished we could stay longer) getaway! Both the cottage and retreat were modern and immaculately clean, but still really homely and made us relax instantly.Definitely take up the breakfast basket - it was scrumptious, and was fabulous to have a full breakfast before we went on our wine tour, the jams were amazing!!( but just one thing, you could add in some Vegemite lol )Such a delight to be able to wander through the olive trees and grape vines and I loved being able to feed the animals and collect the eggs. Relaxing on the deck for a coffee and then sundowners was the real hit!Thank you Norbert and Anna for a superb stay. You are great hosts.We’ll be back.

We have absolutely loved the peace and serenity at this beautiful place,Grattai Grove, just 15 minutes outside of Mudgee. The spacious accommodation offered everything we were looking for, coziness, quietness and relaxation. The modern style interior setting, beautifully decorated with a mix of artsy pieces and a fully equipped modern kitchen, all combined with a stunning view and located in amazing nature impressed us very much.We were very warmly welcomed by the owners, Annaleena and Norbert, together with their cute dogs, Leo and Hunter, they introduced us to a place that has so much to offer! We went for a long walk to see the vineyards and the olive trees and had a wonderful picnic with a stunning sunset! The outdoor equipment is very nice and comfortable and you have even the option to enjoy the night outside sitting around an open fireplace.Overall we had a perfect experience and look very much forward to coming back with friends in the near future!

Norbert & Anna are great hosts! They made us feel very welcome on their property and were happy to share their dream with us. Awesome place for the kids to run free with all the farm animals... the dogs especially! Was hard to head back to the city yet we know we'll return and also follow the progress of their property. The cottage was in great condition, comfortable, clean and cozy... esp with fire place! The lack of a TV was not a lack as it allowed us to play many a game with much laughter and plenty of conversation. A real farmstay!!

Our stay at Grattai Grove cottage was such an unwind for my wife, son and I. The cottage is very roomy, well equipped, has lovely furnishings and captures the most amazing elevated views from the deck and living spaces. We enjoyed the morning walks through the grove and vineyard along with the wood burner.Annaleana and Norbert made us feel very welcome and we hope to be back again soon.

Grattai Grove is a spectacular and special part of the world. There is a stunning view from every single window. The hosts Anna and Norbert are perfect in their friendliness, kindness and generosity. With this stay you share the property with them but their house is situated at arms length so they are around for anything you may need but you feel enormously private and secluded. It’s the best of both worlds.The house has everything for a wonderful stay with extremely comfortable beds, beautiful linen, a stunning bathroom and gorgeous roaring fires inside and outside. Hands down the view is what makes this property a complete stand out and worth every second of the drive out of town. It completely filled my need to connect with the calm and tranquility country life has to offer. This city slicker will be back for sure. Thank you Anna and Norbert. for being such wonderful hosts.

Highly recommended. Grattai Grove is a beautiful property perfect for a stay in Mudgee. The hosts Anna and Norbet were so friendly and accommodating in sharing their piece of paradise with us. Nothing was too much trouble and no detail was overlooked. The property is beautifully decorated and is well stocked for guests to be self sufficient. The location is convenient to town and far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Thanks again Anna & Norbet for your hospitality.
