Gawler Street Cafe
Went there during lunch time. The cafe was busy but staff was amazingly attentive and helpful. They quickly noticed another person was coming and joining us, so they immediately helped to merge tables so we could have more space.I had grilled chicken and a mug of hot chocolate. All was very good. The salad served with the chicken was fresh and nice. The portion was large for me, so I couldn’t finish the chips. But chips were not bad.

Relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly. Coffee was tasty. Enjoyed the view of the street with stunning yellow leaves.

Amazing Cafe featuring tasty treats from Canada. Despite being extremely busy the service was prompt and very friendly. The poutine was awesome, haven't had a proper one since living in Toronto.

We’re new to Mt Barker, as part of setting up our little family, I’ve been on a mission to find a local cafe. It seems GSC has changed owners & I’ve come at the right time. Honest truly the best coffee I’ve had so please never ever change what you’re doing. (Even the t/a cups are cute!) Lovely meals & really nice staff. Having been a café all rounder for over 15 years myself, it’s so nice to get the service as a customer now. Cozy place, nice decor, shout out to Amy, Jeremy & the carrot cake muffins!

New owners have done a fantastic job updating the cafe and the food is delicious. The poutine was amazing and the cheeseburger was everything a cheeseburger should be - meaty, cheesy and totally satisfying! Service was attentive and very friendly. Kid friendly too! Will be recommending to others and will definitely be back.

First time i went there. Ordered a flat coffee, ended up with a fluffy one instead. I did point this out to satff serving it and was provided with a flat white coffee, being what i asked for in the first place. The vegan bagel was not tasty and dripping in oil.

Ordered the breakfast burger and the pork and beans.The burger was full of flavour with good quality ingredients and the bacon had good smoky taste. The pork was amazing and eggs cooked perfectly.Coffees where makes sensational with just the right amount of heat to them. Will definitely be back next time in Mount barker.If you are close by pop in.its worth it

Wow! This place is the jewel on the main street of Mt Barker. Really vibrant and lively. Amazingly friendly staff. Food was fabulous! I got to have Poutine, which was the first time I have seen it on a menu since visiting Canada!Our kids loved the food, freshly squeezed juices, milkshakes and great kids meals.The inside was cosy and fun, with an open kitchen.Fabulous Cafe and can't wait to return!
