Great big area to park up with van or motorhome along the river,the van from the pub comes around at about 4.15 to take you to the pub,

Fabulous spot by the River. Don't Park in, what looks like it could be muddy. If it rains... don't trust the weather maybeologists...you will probably need a tow out if you haven't got the right gear.If you get the free transport to the Tambo Chook Races ....buy a drink or make a donation or buy a Chook!

Lovely spots by the river, loads of room further back. Would be very boggy after any rain. Loved it. And the chicken races at the pub were a great evening out.

One planned night at Stubby Bend Free Camping Area at Tambo turned into three! We fell in love with the place and enjoyed every day exploring it! Great location to explore Tambo with its famous Ben's chicken race and handmade teddy bears shop. Sunsets are just magical ✨️

Free to camp. Very cold in winter, could hear dogs barking from.the town side of the river. No amenities but pretty good spot close to town.

Plenty of room to spread out right on the Barcoo river. Very close to town with good Telstra coverage. No toilets, so you must be self sufficient. Keep it clean so they don't close it down

This is a lovely free camping area, but you must be self sufficient as there is no water or power, you can camp down near the river or along the road.

Great overnight stop. Close to Tambo townsite (walking distance) pub. Picked up by pub bus to watch chicken race...yep thats what I said. A great fundraising event. We walked back to our site from the pub after.
