Staying at the Coogee Bay Hotel beach view rooms. The rooms are immaculate and so are the views. Staff are friendly and they mind their own business. You should be mindful of the noise on weekends since the bar is downstairs and within close proximity of the rooms. All up this is one of the most iconic and oldest pubs in Sydney! What a legend!!!

I recently visited this fantastic bar in Coogee, that left me feeling like I had discovered a hidden gem. This bar was situated right in front of the coastline, with a beautiful backyard that offered stunning views of the Thompsons Bay. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.I had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday at this bar, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, even when we realized we had forgotten to bring candles for the cake. They quickly came to our rescue and provided us with candles so we could properly celebrate the occasion. The bar itself had a great selection of drinks, including some unique and creative cocktails that were a real treat. The backyard was the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and take in the breathtaking views of the ocean. Whether you're looking for a place to relax with friends or celebrate a special occasion, this bar has it all.Overall, I would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a great spot in Coogee. The combination of stunning views, friendly staff, and great drinks make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a local or just passing through, be sure to stop by and experience this hidden gem for yourself.

I am so glad I chose this hotel! The staff took great care of us. The room was absolutely mind blowing. We stayed in the bay rooms above the venue, restaurant and next to the bar. A word of warning: the bay rooms are noisy. Some of the reviews talk about a nice quiet room and that is most certainly in the other building. It didn't bother us at all, as a vibrant beach stay was what we came for, but be forewarned. :)

Friendly staff and great spot. However, food and cocktail were a disappointment. Got a chicken schnitzel with chips and salad, the chips were cold and flavourless and the chicken was plain. I got a cocktail which was potent and quite undrinkable.

Super pub to stay at… loved sitting on the balcony looking out to Wedding Cake island. Loved the decor and the beautiful photos of some of the legends of Aussie pub rock! Highly recommend.

Great bar and location for playing Pool. They have 4 tables, pretty decent too. They do Pool comp every Wednesday which is hosted by a legend of a guy, Jamie. Starts 6.30pm!$6 beers, $1 wings!

Food was OK. The prices were very expensive and portions were small. I would not go back again. The 3 star rating is mainly for the location and atmosphere of the outdoor seating.

Good vibe in a great location with huge capacity, but the food is honestly shocking. Very poor quality and overpriced. I went with a big group on a Friday evening and we can safely warn you off the burgers, schnitzel, and pork belly. For example, when you're paying over $30 for a prawn burger you expect it to at least be filling and have reasonable quality ingredients. What came out was low-quality chips and a burger that was mostly lettuce and tomato with barely any prawn! Will not be eating here again - recommend trying another venue for food.

Went here for lunch after a coastal hike nearby! Ordered vegetarian pizzas (mushroom and artichoke) and hot chips to share between 4 peopls and we were satisfied! Cheese on the pizza was stringy, toppings were delicious, dough base was cooked well. Chips were hot so that was a bonus. In terms of parking, we went on a weekday so finding all-day or 2-4 hour parking wasn't as bad. I'm sure parking on weekends would be tough, dont think i would try unless i had to. Beach was nearby so it's a great area for a walk/stroll.

Worst pub meals I’ve ever eat, it cost a lot and it didn’t match the price. All the ingredients were old and tasted bad, I had to ask them to change a artichoke pizza cause you couldn’t even chew it
