The climb is great and definitely worth it, the bush is recovering nicely. Not very difficult since there are ladders for climbing the top rocky bit. The parking area is pretty small, only a few cars have space and there is only one picnic table and one fire pit to use. But i dont know how busy the place is normally... and the fire pit looks like it hasn't been used for years.

An absolute must-do if you are capable and in the area!Genoa Peak Road was closed from 7am-5pm every day the week I was in town, so I decided to head up there shortly after 5pm. Apparently nobody else had this idea because I had the place to myself the entire time! The dirt road up is a bit rough in spots but is well packed and manageable in a 2WD. The walk took me 90mins in total, including a decent amount of time at the summit and many photo stops. The views were absolutely incredible, 360 degrees of Croajingolong National Park and out over the lakes to Bass Strait. There are lots of spots along the way to stop and take in the view inland, so if you weren’t particularly keen or confident about making it to the peak you could always stop at one of these and turn around. The scale of devastation from the 2019/2020 bushfires was obvious from the peak and was honestly a bit overwhelming. But the area is still so beautiful and there was so much new growth including gum saplings and beautiful wildflowers. The summit was extremely windy, make sure to take your hat off before you climb the final ladder! The track is very rocky and I would definitely recommend good hiking shoes. There’s a little bit of rock scrambling up towards the summit, the track is also quite overgrown in a few spots with new vegetation so be careful to follow the track and watch for snakes.

Absolutely worth the hike. Once you get on the main hill it is rather hard going with plenty of tripping hazards but with the hike in the end , recent bush fires means there isn't much Shade on the hill

3.4km (GPS, total) hike with great 360 views at the top. The hike to the top was pretty steep and had to climb a few ladders near/at the end. For us it was very windy at the top. Worth the hike.

Great views at the top. Bit of a tough walk towards the end, but definitely worth it. Good walking shoes were useful on the way down too.

You need to be pretty fit.We are elderly and took us 2 hours to reach the top. My wife only went to the first look out. Another 20 steep climb with 3 sets of ladders to reach the top. Well worth it and you will be rewarded for your effort.

Good 1.5km walk one way to the peak. Estimated 2km return journey as per signage. Amazing view of surrounding area from the top. I'd recommend trekking to the top if you can, 3 steep ladders to get to the peak.

Awesome views from the top.Be warned that the path is tricky to follow in places. Allow 60 minutes one-way, 45 if you're quite fit. Not recommended if you're unsteady on your feet.Remember to take plenty of water!

Amazing 360 views! A few limbs and trees across the path but manageable. The climb to the top was pretty steep and had to climb ladders.
