Melba's Alterations

Took my wedding dress in to be altered - predominantly shortening of the hem. I asked for appliques that were on the lower part of the dress to be moved up so that they would not be cut/lost in the alterations process. I was told this was fine. They were late on initial completion date and when I went to collect the dress they had cut straight through the appliques thus causing irreversible damage to the dress. I then had to jump through hurdles to get the issue dealt with. The quality of the rest of the work that was done was also subpar and no better than I could have achieved myself as an amateur seamstress. Definitely would not recommend for any alterations requiring a high level of skill and certainly not for expensive garments.

Very shabby work right from very beginning. Quoted wrong rates over the phone, later completely messed the length alteration on my blazer. Had to redo it and the work itself was very poor and not as promised one bit. Very disappointing service. Ruined my 200$ blazer. Never ever go back again or recommend for blazer alterations.

I had a difficult hemming job for my wedding dress and when I picked up my dress I was amazed at how well it was hemmed! Would recommend anyone to these lovely ladies if you need your wedding dress altered.

Job wasn't finished had to return and have it finished properly and very expensive

I had a wonderful experience Melba’s alterations , the best alterations I have ever seen and I gave them some challenging dresses so if you need alterations on anything these guys are the way to go!!!!

Good quality and skilled people.job done whatever I wanted. Happy to go again.
