Coolangatta Hair Boutique

I recently traveled from Brisbane to Coolangatta for an appointment at another salon. Fortunately for me , there was a double booking, and they could no longer do my hair. I walked the streets to find a salon that could fit me in on such short notice. I found this amazing salon . Coolangatta. Hair Boutique. I needed shampoo color cut and blow wave. I was blown away with the service from both Kelli and Jordan. I was very apprehensive at first. However, my Color looks fantastic. The best I have ever had. Jordan was so professional. Kelli cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it. I would highly recommend CHB to anyone looking for an appointment with the girls. It’s beautiful salon with the most comfortable wash basin chairs. I’ve been seeing Kelli and Jordan for about 3-4 years now and wouldn’t be going anywhere else within the Tweed/Coolangatta region. Kelli’s loyalty to long-term clients such as myself ensures she has high flexibility at all times for emergency appointments and this is reciprocated in times of need. Kelli has curated her business into a passion and this shines through the services her clients receive. I love going to CHB every 8-12 weeks.

Booked online but when I got my confirmation back I realised I had booked wrong date by error. I then spent nearly a week trying to contact the salon. I replied to the confirmation email, I sent a message via their website, I called and left voicemails. I kept trying and eventually got through to the owner but by this stage it was 2 days before the appointment. Kellie advised that she couldn't change the appointment and company policy was NO REFUNDS (I had paid a deposit of almost $100). I explained how I had attempted to contact her since I had booked and she agreed that she had been run off her feet" so in this instance she would refund me. I was then led on a complete merry-go-round for weeks where I kept being promised to be issued a refund but it could only be done by direct deposit into my bank account and not via the app that took my deposit in the first place. I build websites for a living so this is HIGHLY unlikely.She has now blocked me from calling or texting her and clearly has no intention of refunding me my money. $100 for nothing but a greedy person who cannot adhere to the basic rules of business etiquette."

I booked this salon for my wedding party over a year ago. I kept regular contact to confirm all and was quoted $480.00 for group booking of 7 people, this was for blow wave/style and possibly bit extra for style ups. On arrival, some were offered a cocktail and others not. Some got washes others not and these were not ones having style up. Prices were way over what we were quoted and seemed inconsistent per person. Hair styles were not what people wanted but our group then had no choice as we had a wedding to get too, myself as bride had to have a friend fix my hair despite showing a video of what was wanted. We felt it was not ok to mention anything on the day as it had been shared that the hairdresser had a personal loss so we all felt sad but on reflection this really should not have mattered. I was quite disappointed.

Kell n Jordy are the best. They work so well together. Kell is the best in the business and loves a chat. Jordy gives the best head massages. I highly recommend CHB.

I cannot explain what a find this gorgeous little modern boutique is! I found Kelli through a friend and my hair has never been more fresh, full and soft.. Travis does my eye brows and my god what an absolute artist! Jordyn is the apprentice at the moment and she is doing so well and gives an amazing head massage! The team here are so wonderful.. I don’t know why you’d go anywhere else xx Thankyou all ❤️

i have followed this business for a while and always wanted to go. i’m a mother to a 1 year old - so i never bothered getting my hair done. i decided to book it and do something that i’ve wanted to do- go lighter. i showed an inspiration photo and booked what i thought was appropriate for the appointment (i’m not a hair dresser). i booked a balayage appointment - and when i arrived they told they had rescheduled my appointment instead of someone else’s but said they could do my hair anyway (i live 45 mins away and organised a sitter so there was no way i was coming back). when i showed them the photo of what i wanted- which was a cool toned balayage all over, they said i only needed a half head. again, i had no idea so i said whatever you think. i wasn’t expecting my hair to look exactly like the photo on the first appointment. i saw my hair in the mirror and was ok with it. when i left and got half way home, i looked in a mirror seeing my hair in natural light i hated it. the top was a light yellow and the rest of my hair was still dark brown. i cried to my partner when i got home and he rang another salon and asked if they could squeeze me in the same day just to fix the underneath. the lovely owners of the second salon understood what i was talking about- even saying that it wasn’t even a half head of balayage- but more like a halo of highlights. i paid $350 (approx) for a halo…. after getting my hair fixed at another salon, i have them decided to message CHB on instagram explaining how i felt and how it wasn’t even a half head of balayage. they opened my message and never responded. i gave the opportunity to fix the issue - or at least offer good customer service and never heard back. i never leave reviews but this was the worst experience i’ve ever had.

I firstly had to reschedule my appointment due to my sick child, Kelly was so helpful and made the process very easy.Kelly has transformed my hair from dull, grown out full on mum hair that doesn’t get much time spent on it to a mummy make over! I am over the moon with how it has turned out! It’s very hard to find someone that understands blonde hair and she nailed it!
