The Log Cabin
Had lunch on weekday (Friday)... Autumn menu- we chose tamarind lamb shoulder ...'sticky, sour with zing', served with chips, flatbread, pickled veg. Generous serving & lamb was tender - however, seemed dry & not much of the 'sticky sour' that was described. Chips were over-done -beyond golden-brown & very hard - I'm all for crunchy chips but these were so hard that it was hard to stab them with a fork! (Chips leaving the pass after our meals seemed less over-done based on colour.) Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. Order via QR code on table (if available) or at the counter.

My husband and I ventured over to The Log Cabin last week and were surprised at what a beautiful place it is. Location location location!! Overlooks the Nepean River, so tastefully modern, live music, friendly staff and delicious food! We didn’t try the cocktails but devouring a pizza looking over the River as the sun was setting with a glass of wine in hand was just pure serenity! Thoroughly recommend this place. Plenty of places to sit for a beverage or 3 or work or family get together

The renovations look great. It has a nice beer garden with a playground. It's nice and relaxing looking at the river views. The food is good and fast and the staff were friendly!

Beautiful establishment, well laid out.Excellent service, with outstanding selection of meals on the menu and was more than happy to accommodate our needs within their menu.Once you've ordered, make your way out to verandah area where you can take in the lovely views of the nepean River.The food was excellent a little expensive but full of flavor, the only thing that would make it better is a little wow factor in the portion size and presentation

It has been many years since I have visited this location. It may have been the 90's that I attended a wedding here. This has had a complete redesign and looks fantastic. The outlook to the river from the optional outdoor seating is fantastic especially as the sun is setting. A few cold beverages with a delicious and fresh meal before heading over to see Richard Marx at Panthers made the night very worthwhile. Look forward to revisiting at some point. Plenty of parking available opposite the venue.

An amazing location to run a corporate offsite. With a big room overlooking the river and an outdoor area to use for breakouts, and of course lunch. Catering was spot on, and the wonderful Christian behind the bar couldn't do enough to ensure we were caffeinated and comfortable. An absolute superstar.

Took Buddy the dog for a walk and then decided to come here for a drink and some nibbles. The staff got water for Buddy as soon as we got seated. Pampered pooch. The staff were are all really lovely and very friendly. Great service, great food great views. Got a couple of spits of rain but that was all good. Had the beer garden pretty much to ourselves. Highly recommend.

The Log Cabin is a newly opened venue that has a long and vivid history in Penrith.We visited during the week for dinner and even though it was a weeknight it was alive with activity. The venue is well positioned on the river, clean inside and family friendly. There is a children’s playground in the patio with a large tv for the adults to watch the latest sports game. There is Alfresco dining on the deck over looking the the river with tables, high bars and also lounges inside for seating. Upstairs is a function room and also a fine dining restaurant.We went to try the pub food. Ordering can be done at the bar or also from the QR code at the table. We tried the QR Code. Simple to use and easy to order with photos of the meal to help you decide. Drinks are ordered at the bar which is a large bar that has multiple staff to serve so not much wait time for drinks.The meals are delivered to your table by the waitstaff. The meals were delivered scattered as they were ready which was a bit of an inconvenience as we were a group of 5 wanting to eat together. However it was only a few minutes in between the meals coming out.The food was fresh, tasty and in plenty. This is definitely pub food done right but a bit more sophisticated then a typical pub.Would recommend for a visit for larger groups or a family with kids as the playground looks amazing. If you are a couple try and book a table on the deck by the river watching the sunset.
