Try and take the children here every year! Absolutely love this tourist railway. Steeped in history and a fantastic day out out the family. Highly recommend for all ages.

What a teriffic day out! I went with the local school on a bike hike from Castlemaine to Maldon, and we returned to Castlemaine on the steamie. It was a terifficly fun way to end the trip, and the station staff were incredibly friendly and helpful too! (we had 30 bikes to load into the luggage cars!)There's a great Refreshments" shop available at the station

We went on the midweek train, travelling in first class and to say it was excellent would be an understatement. The 5 travellers thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back for sure.
