MC Square Cafe

Started out as a nice little convenient Cafe, but the staff do not listen, and made me a toasted Sandwich ( I don't like toasted and they never asked me if I wanted it toasted, they looked quite put out they they had to make me another one, so I YIELDED in eating something I could barely tolerate eating and hated, .. fast forward to present day - thought they might have changed - started out ok as I was there for a monthly catch up with a large support network - large amounts of coffee were bought and I at one point in time bought a bowl of chips off them as I was hungry, after the second visit - there outside component had ZERO protection from the wind / rain and has been very very poorly maintained, forcing us ( a huge group there for a regular meet up and coffee Max of 2 HOURS ) to come inside to avoid the elements ( other outdoor places have made adaptive changes to give more protection from wind and sun and other elements for their patrons ), we;ve been crammed into a tiny corner where no one can get up and out to get a jug of water and asking their staff we are greeted with rude responses about getting up and getting it ourselves when TRAPPED with no where to escape until the rest of our party has finished their cups of coffee and or has left ( by a set time mind you so its not like we sitting there all day from morning till night and only making the one drink order ) and their service is getting ruder and ruder with each visit and going downhill fast - extremely unsupportive cafe and we will be looking to move to a new cafe that will give us the outdoor protection we need and the space we need for our monthly support meetings"

What a hidden gem.The full cream latte one of the best I had been made by Laura.In a quiet corner plenty of car parks.Great healthy menu and spacious outdoor tooFriends as far as Mount Waverley remember this cafe and often suggest this cafe againI left my wallet behind once , returned 3 hours later to see it in safe hands.They kept it for me.Personal wise the best in Melbourne for me

Nice coffee and lovely setting, big breakfast was too salty. Just one thing, I came in with my toddler, there were three people behind the counter (it wasn’t very busy) and no one checked to see if we needed a high chair. It’s so much easier if someone helps! This should be a priority in a cafe that’s next to where a lot of children visit.

My favourite cappuccino in Melbourne so far! And the rice and bulgogi set is yum. Love their triple choc muffin and, raspberry and white chocolate muffin. Thank you!

What a find and so super close to home too! MC sqaure cafe is hidden away within the city council precinct, sharing the same building as the Manningham library. We visited on a weekday at around 12pm. It was fairly busy with locals like ourselves at the tables, high school kids and office workers from nearby.We had the chicken katsu sandwich and the prawn curry don. Meals range from $10 to $15 and there's so much bang for buck! The curry don came with four large prawns. The chicken schnitzel was very fresh and tasty. The soy honey chai latte was also very nice. A pleasant surprise to get such nice food just next to the library. I have tried the chicken, unagi and salmon sandos in three different days. All tasted great. The quality is very consistent. Will definitely come back again.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Coffee is good and their Korean menu is delicious. The spicy pork & rice, chicken katsu curry, mama dumplings ... all very yum and makes for an enjoyable day at the library.

Good coffee, good service.The cafe has good indoor and outdoor seating.I also enjoyed their ham and cheese croissant, it was fresh, soft and just a nice size.I cant wait to try other menu items.Enjoy!
