I found John when searching for a door maintenance service after having called numerous companies that came up on my google search. Every single one of them quoted a call out fee, John on the other hand, was only too happy to offer some helpful advice. After explaining the issues I had with my door, John asked me to send him some photos. Not long after, he called me back and explained what may have been the issue and how I could go about fixing it myself, rather than paying big $$. John was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly. I was pleasantly surprised! Someone willing to offer free advice, save you from spending unnecessary $$, and took time out of his busy day to help someone out. Thanks for your honest and professional advice John, it was very much appreciated!

Great, friendly family business. John and his son were efficient, polite and would recommend to anyone. Will definitely have them back next time we need some work on our doors. John's son is a credit to him and great to see a friendly, engaged young man.

Well this is not as good as I might have liked it to be but its the truth and I believe we were ripped off. Last year we had some one call to replace a couple of rollers on our sliding door. He was on the job about 10 minutes or at the most 20 minutes.We were charged $400 for this service. Since then we have changed the rest of our sliding doors and the rollers were no more than $15.00.We had to pay on the spot. When I told our son in law he told us to ring back and ask why. I did and the man I talked to was rude and asked me if I had ever been in business.Even if the call out fee is $100 I still cannot work out how it would cost $400.TOTALLY UNFAIR I can provide dates and invoice numbers. I would like to think that I would get some money back.Gina Poulus

The team at AJ Doors, John and Josh, responded to my query within 24 hours and we’re at my place two days later fixing my custom semi commercial top hung architectural sliding doors. Took over 4 hours as the team resolved each issue to get the doors perfectly aligned and sliding. They guys were on time and very reasonably priced. They showed me how I could do simple long term maintenance to maintain the doors in good working order which will same me thousands in the long run.

John and Josh are a lovely father and son team who did a wonderful job repairing my screen and sliding doors. Their communication was excellent and the repair work was done within 24 hours of my initial phone call. The team showed up on time and the work was completed to a high standard at the agreed price. I also found John to be very patient, fair and knowledgeable. He was probably more budget-conscious than I was and didnt use my inexperience with renovations against me. Now that my doors are working like a dream, I have no hesitation in recommending A J Doors to family, friends and anybody reading this review.

I'm so happy with the job done by John & Josh on my bi-fold doors. We've owned the house for 16 years and they have never run so smoothly ...... ever!I was dealing with original bi-fold doors which required all my strength to open and close. AJ doors were able to inspect, diagnose the issue and propose a solution (which required John to make a part to fit as the old parts were obsolete).Even better, when completing the job one of the parts didn't require replacement so it was $300 less than the original quote. Good news!I found John to be a very honest tradesman - they focus on doors and clearly know what they are doing!

After prepaying $250 for a quote to service my bi-fold doors, John came out and said that they couldn't help as my floors were unlevel and I needed a structural engineer. John told me the work would cost tens of thousands of dollars. He googled a couple of companies who may be able to help and agreed to return once the floors were level. Neither company recommended by him was able to help and a structiural engineer that we found did a review and arranged for the necessary work - which cost less than $8k! I contacted John again as he had agreed to return after the work was done; only to be told I would have to prepay another $250 for him to come out and quote again and that he was too busy for the next month. Very disappointing experience. I have just reviewed the response by the owner which has several factual errors. A recollection that's not strictly factual runs the risk of being interpreted as highly subjective......

Thankyou John and Josh for repairing yet another sliding door and screen today. They both glide so quietly and easily now it's like they are brand new.Before the repair it was almost impossible to open as the rollers were completely gone. Our house is a double storey brick home built in 1970 and it has quite a few sliding doors and windows. Last year I lucked it in while googling Aluminium Door Repairs" and gambled on AJ Doors to repair a couple of doors that were no longer sliding. They did a great job last time so I called them again.Good price and excellent workmanship.I highly recommend John and Josh and will use them again when the next door needs attention."
