Purchase and Delivery of my Lathe was fantasticly quick, I received it in 3 days! How's that for efficiency! The Lathe looks very good as well.

Tried to obtain info by phone re jointers, thicknesser and dust collection. Sales assistant response was most unhelpful - said the price was on the screen - I was nowhere near a computer at the time of phone call3 hours later I bought on line the smallest bench top jointer based on a YouTube review I had seen - Just been told by the wife to settle down, she told me I've become a grumpy old bast--d. She's correct - I am now 73

Dealing with Tibecon has been difficult insofar as they used to be a terrible company, over priced and poor on service, Now they are still way over priced - it is cheaper to deal with the suppliers direct but their web page is one of the best around. It is difficult to navigate but the writer gives excellent description of the product being looked at, very good. Their deliveries are quick particularly if you pay the extra $2,00 and take the express option. Their range is very good and their service is much better than most all in all a very good experience. Melbourne Tools seems to have made a huge difference to this company.

I live over 100km from the nearest Timbecon store so do most of my purchases online. Timbecon's communication on the progress of a purchase is very good though current problems in the supply chain have slowed delivery at times. Overall, the range of their stock covers just about anything I've needed for woodturning. My latest purchase included a miniature scroll chuck and jaws and a dust mask ... the chuck arrived within days but I'm still waiting for the mask weeks later even though AusPost says it's on the way". Recommended and happy to continue buying from them."

Website was easy to navigate, staff were great when I picked stuff up and the items I purchased have lived up to expectations.

Recently purchased 2 'Precision' items from Timbecon including a 914mm 'Straight edge' with claimed accuracy of 0.025mm across its length, as well as a Granite surface plate with accuracy claimed to 0.008mm across its surface as you would expect. After running a dial indicator and a test indicator(Calibrated) across the surface of the granite plate (Hinged on 3 points) and seeing variance up to 1.8mm i did a sanity check with the provided brand new straight edge only to easily see a 1.5mm+ gap with the light shining through. This is found in numerous places across the plate (And also on numerous surfaces of the straight edge).I had asked the company for a certificate for the straight edge a couple of weeks ago and received no response. I then received my surface plate today and called to ask where the certificate was to be told they dont come with certificates.I think consumer affairs would love to hear about the claims that are being made from this company in comparison to what they are providing as 'precision' equipment.

Nice store well layed out with many woodwork tools displayed recommen a visit, staff seemed busy so l moved on.

I felt that I had to make a public statement, with regard to the excellent service that my wife, Patty, and I, have received from the staff, in general, at Timbecon, Perth. In particular, I would like to give a special mention to Alex, for his unflustered, extremely helpful manner, in dealing with customers, when there is a shop full of other customers, waiting to be served. We have also had really good assistance, from Dane, too, both instore and telephonically. The turnabout in service has been amazing, when compared with the really substandard, “we are doing you a favour” type of service, that we experienced a couple of years back. We live quite a distance away from Canning Vale and found it easier to be persuaded to shop elsewhere, rather than to give Timbecon the custom, but we feel that the trip is worth the fuel and the time, spent, to pop into the store, now.
