We stayed as part of a strategic planning days trip for work, so most of our time was spent in the conference room. It was quite spacious and reasonably comfortable, although the aircon/heater kept turning on and off at the inopportune times (via sensor) so we were overheated or overchilled at various times. My room was quite nice, with a king double and a view of the beach, which was perfect was watching the amazing sunrise.A great location for former MasterChef contestant spotting (Aldo, who was our barista, head chef as well as IT troubleshooter). The buffet lunches and breakfast, however, were a bit ordinary. The minute steaks were well done and dry, and steamed veg were also well done and almost mushy.

We used the venue room in the first floor and the service was fantastic, all staff were very friendly and smiley, beach view was breathtaking too, definitely going back.

Where to start? Forecourt was blocked on arrival, and the carpark was the wrong height for my vehicle, leading me to park on the street, where it was then sprayed with bundy rum during the night it seems (see photos). Then when I attempted to check in, there were issues with using my google wallet loaded credit card for the 'on hold' security charge, even though the room had been pre-paid in full on the same credit card, and I had the required drivers licence. Then there was the pre-paid sparklingly wine, that was to be 'on arrival', that I had to chase an hour later. When it did arrive, little effort had been taken to actually place it in the ice (see photos). Next was the room itself... the air-conditioning was freezing, and the controls were faded, so any adjustments were a game of 'trial and error' (see photos). Additionally the noise from the street was ridiculously loud, as was the noise from a party being hosted onsite at the hotel. The party noise only dissipated close to midnight, long after we'd attempted to sleep. Room cleanliness was poor with dirty glass, inside and out, and some of the wall damage/marks (see photos). Overall the room was a poor standard, as was the service levels. For $550pn, the room and hotel were not worth the investment. I would never stay here again.

Rooms were in need of an update. Found that some of the staff were friendly, how ever when asking for refills on some bathroom products, the comment was I don't know if I have enough." This is supposed to be rated as a four star

Location is superb. Rooms are good and just the right size. Bed is cosy. The ocean view is lovely. Lighting needs improvement and is insufficient. The staff at the reception isn't the friendliest. The toilet needs further cleaning as the area on the hinge of the toilet bowl is a bit dirty. The vent in the shower is shower is yucky and full of dust.I wouldn't recommend the breakfast buffet. There aren't many options, and the price isn't worth it. The price is $20. You pay the same for a child who doesn't eat much.I hate that a staff member knocked on our door just before the check-out time. What I hate most is that they charged me for two minibar items. One of which doesn't even existed! There was even disgusting left-over milk on the fridge. Although this has been sorted through a phone call, I hate the hassle it caused me.

Oh dear. Noise from the road (if facing that way) is non stop. Was on the 8th floor and sliding balcony doors are hopeless at stopping the noise all night long! Bed was extremely comfortable, which was pleasing. Strangely, there are no directories in the room so it's impossible to know about any of the facilities like the pool and the fact that the small restaurant (The Alley) was actually open for breakfast. Only mention on their website for dining is that The Alley is open on a Friday Saturday and Sunday.

All ocean view room have wonderful view, down to the beach. Close to big walking street, cinema and restaurant. Parking during the weekdays could be an issue.

The hotel is really quite expensive. I didn't mind the cost, but the rooms did not live up to the photos and description on the website. The rooms did not contain any information about the hotel, like how to access foxtel (no movie channels!), restaurant hours, room service, pool hours, local amenities and restaurants, etc. We would have loved room service but only found out it was available when we were checking out and another room on our floor had a tray and empty plates outside their door! We had the buffet breakfast 1 morning, and it was terrible. Staff did not seem to manage even though there weren't many people. All the food was cold and when something ran out (eggs!), it took at least 15 minutes for more to come out. They really have some issues that need to be addressed. All that being said, the staff were very nice and friendly.

Very overpriced for the room we had. Carpets smelt like wet sheep. The Tv's are that old they have no internet to watch Stan or Netflix with bad quality sound. The windows have never been cleaned, even the accessible windows leading to balcony. The view was nice, but wont be back!
