The photos shown here are incorrect. This is not the unforgettable and 5 star lookout over the deep Gold mine close to Cobar. This is the incredibly lame attempt at creating a tourist attraction at the gold mine down the road.The so called 'Golden Walk' is a collection of rusty mining equipment topped off with a so called viewing platform which is located just above ground level and provides a memorable view of the staff car park.Avoid.

Cobar town and the mine is mind blowing. It’s a must do even doing a detour if you are not in that route.
