The Humble Horse

I was randomly dragged into a horse riding lesson a few weeks ago and hadn’t been for anything other than an occasional trail ride in 20 years. Friday, the instructor, was so lovely, patient and helpful. I would definitely recommend them. They do trail rides too, but I would 100% recommend a lesson first as they taught me some basic skills that made a trail ride much more enjoyable.

Highly recommend, staff are incredibly hospitable. After a bad experience with another riding school in town when we tried them previously, we will definitely be back! Can not recommend highly enough.

Took my two daughters (2 and 4) there for a pony ride. They both had a great time and the staff were great! Would recommend to anyone interested in a short ride or even trail rides.

We were a group of 10 consisting of 4 visitors from Singapore. As locals we have been to various horse riding places but this is by far the best for service. The staff were friendly and obliging. The horses were well trained and looked well cared for. The staff even allowed us to try trotting. The kids loved it and my visitors were very impressed. Value for money for the ride and experience and service. Definitely recommend highly and will return

Fantastic trail ride experience. My daughter and her friend went on a one hour bush ride for her 8th birthday- they both loved it! The instructor, Friday, was lovely and super patient with the girls. Ponies were beautifully behaved and gorgeous. We will definitely be back!

I booked what I believed to be a private trail ride for myself and my nieces. When arrived, we were ignored, there was no one to tell us how to pick a helmet which was correct to the size of our heads. It's a complete guessing game. Luckily, I have worked in riding schools and understand how to fit a helmet. First issue solved, however if you don't know how to correctly and safely fit a helmet, good luck! When we were finally acknowledged and told to sign a waiver (which no one checked) we were directed to our horses. Despite me informing HH previously that both my nieces have no riding experience, I was absolutely mortified to see that the teenagers running the establishment didn't ensure the right length of stirrup for the trail ride. I also saw no effort to ensure that girths were the right tightness. Whilst on the trail ride, my one niece had no person to lead her, lucky she is laid back in character as anyone more highly strung could have spooked the horse.

Wow what a fantastic experience for all.The lady who did my daughters pony ride on Saturday the 24th of April at 9am was so kind and so lovely.My daughter Eva now wants to do lessons because she enjoyed her experience at the humble horse so much.Everytime we come down I will definitely booking her in again.Thanks so much ladies

We booked a pony beginner lesson for our 6+4 year old, and they had the best experience with Friday, the instructor. She was patient and kind and answered all their questions throughout the hour lesson. They didn't wipe the smiles off their faces all day. Very affordable too.
