Fantastic historical house run by enthusiastic staff. Well worth a visit to learn about it's history. The gardens are a good place to spend some time too.

Such a beautiful historic building, hidden away in the wonderful Arboretum! The tour was very informative and interesting, and the volunteer running the tour was knowledgeable and very friendly. The grounds are stunning and well maintained, as is the house. Definitely worth a visit! Tickets were very affordable and well worth the money. Allow about two hours to do the tour and enjoy the gardens, there are toilets on site and car parking next to the building - enter at the white boom gates and drive up the long driveway - Google maps tries to take you down a nonexistent road so ignore that!

Very iconic historic building. The attended staff was really kind and helpful. Interesting ceiling paintings in the hall. Respect to Peter Waite. Beautiful rose garden at the back.

Worth a visit if you are visiting the waite arboretum, or have a lazy day and want to have a wander around and enjoy some local history. Even if you don't go inside the outside area is lovely and you can spend a few hours here easily have a good look around. Is especially nice to think what it would have been like back in the day when first constructed and in its prime!
