The Carrington Hotel
Amazing location and gorgeous hotel and building. Unfortunately there was no air con and the heater had been left on so we were sweating! Still a lovely spot with great decor and in a fab location.

The Carrington Hotel
Close to Katoomba Train Station and Bus Terminus, the Carrington takes you back to the 1920s and 30s with its Art Deco finishes and quality surroundings. My Mum and i have spent many wonderful hours over a Devonshire Tea with fresh scones and lashings of jam and cream served by friendly and helpful staff…. this is the place to go to soak up the true atmosphere of Australia’s Blue Mountains.

My partner Mario and I regularly stay at The Carrington. We always have a great time mostly due to the warm & wonderful customer service provided by the Carrington staff, especially AJ one of the duty managers who always goes above to look after us well. Thank you AJ - Mario & MonaOur room was clean, comfortable and beautiful appointed with the Victorian details

A lovely hotel deep in history. Front counter staff were really welcoming. Bar staff were great. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Only a couple of let downs, the young males at breakfast didn't seem to want to be there (a smile and friendly demeanour go along way) and we had to ask for cutlery, they were also very noisy clearing tables. Also the photos of rooms are deceiving, we are a family of 4 and the photos of the rooms appear to sleep 3 only, so we booked 2 rooms. Could have slept 4 in the 1 room.

Hotels in a perfect location with plenty of parking.It's steeped with history and traditional decorLack of service was on breakfast - not all but some of the team but lacked any kind of customer service and / or politness.Check in and out was positiveBar staff were positivePity the breakfast team didn't perform

I haven't stayed there, but I've enjoyed their delicious stout without complaint.Great Gatsby feel. Beautiful surroundings. Extremely pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

Carrington hotel is like the titanicIt’s a step back in time.Great to stay rooms are small and basic but luxury.Love the bar and foyer lots of warm places near fires to sit and relax or if you want to play pool or snooker has a great area for thisHighly recommended

This was such a great place to stay, we had a birthday and stayed for 3 days, the staff were lovely and the rooms were great, the beds were comfy and came with a fridge, tv, kettle, ad everything else you need! We stayed in the balcony room and had a great view of the mountains and sunsets... the only down side were the cockatoos, but other than that the stay was wonderful!

Central location and staff did what they needed to, interesting old building. Car parking facilities excellent and a comfortable room. Other than that, faded glory I’m afraid, dripping tap, worn carpets and peeling paint. Breakfast OK but coffee dreadful - cold this morning and was informed I could wait 10 mins for a new jug to come out or buy a barista coffee! Would have been worth the money 40 years ago perhaps but I’d keep your expectations lower than the Carrington would suggest. One star review for the bar which called last orders at 9.20pm - very poor service indeed.
