Awful experience. Exploitative business that preys on new mothers in hospital. They come into your hospital room when you’re recovering (and most vulnerable) to entice you to use their services. You don’t get given an online link to photos like other photography businesses - they demand that you go to their studio to see the photos, which is incredibly difficult with a newborn. You also never see a price list at all. I feel scammed and wished I’d gone with a reputable and professional photographer at the outset that is transparent and willing to work with their clients. Would not recommend and cannot believe that John James let’s them conduct this business on their premises.

Holly captured some lovely newborn pics with our family over a very relaxed session. I especially liked that their pics fit generic sized frames as that can otherwise often be an added expense of professional photos. Glad that we captured these precious moments as gosh time flies ♥️

Unconscionable scammers; if you have a baby at @ Calvary John James Hospital and they offer you the convenience of a “free” ($45) infant photo shoot while you’re in the hospital, tell them to keep on walking! If you take them up on their offer, they won’t tell you what prints or digital copies cost. You’ll then be invited to their studio for a sales pitch of $1000-$5000 for a couple prints and still never get digital copies of the High Definition negatives. Such an opaque business model is potentially in breach of consumer trading laws, and if it it isn’t, it ought to be!
