Went there last week. Great place! We loved the atmosphere, good food and amazing staff. The waiter who served us, Viktor, was very attentive and gave us very good recommendations. Thank u so much!

My partner and I started coming here for dinner occasionally and now it has become a weekly visit. The service we receive is always incredible and the food and drinks are always delicious! The lychee martini’s are fantastic and so is just about everything on the menu (we’ve almost tried it all!) We’ll definitely continue making this a regular place to eat. Thank you to Tia and the team at New Wind for the amazing food and hospitality!

One of those nights where everything is spot on. The food: perfect temperature, interesting but balanced flavours, very good seasoning, richness and the final comforting feeling. We had the duck curry, the char kway teow and a Pho. We are planning to go back to try more things in the menu. I loved the vibe of the place, and hitting the happy hour was the bonus! But the thing that made everything to fall into place was that feeling of being welcome. Victor and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful in every request we had. And from the manager, you see right away the effort and love she's put into it.

We came here for happy hour and was surely disappointed. The espresso martini was insanely milky, I couldn’t finish it. The spring rolls were cold in the middle, definitely just frozen spring rolls from the supermarket. The only person working, a young lady, was on her phone the whole time and was texting whilst making the drinks. The only positive was the chicken satay, which was hot and well season. but the portion size was tiny for the price. There are plenty of other Vietnamese food restaurants in Melbourne that was better worth your while. So disappointed and do not recommend. Overpriced.

Had a lovely experience with Tia! She was super friendly, an amazing host and took care of our table very well. It was my first time here so we asked for recommendations and everything we got was 10/10. Tia highly recommended the eggplant and boy she was right. I don’t even like eggplant but I would fly back from Sydney to eat this again. We sat outside and it was a great vibe, even from the other customers. Would recommend!

Every dish we ordered at New Wind was tasty, but the Vietnamese Claypot with Rockling (in caramelised fish sauce, spring onion, shallot and black pepper) was incredible. We came here on a Friday night - great for those that enjoys a boisterous atmosphere.
