Very unhappy with my experience here. Had my car in to be diagnosed and repaired. Turned out AC compressor needed changing. But instead of informing me that they couldn't actually repair the issue, they made a decision to bypass the AC compressor and 'repair' the car with no AC. By instead putting in a shorter belt that will make the car run without any AC. Basically I ended up paying $422.90 at Victor Motors for them to not actually tell me the real diagnoses over the phone before making a decision on their own to bypass the actual repair.The next day I needed to take my car into another mechanics to actually have a new AC compressor put in which is something i could have had done initially without Victor Motors bothering to charge me for the AC bypass 'repair' that I never needed doing at all (it would have been easier to just repair it fully from the start).I wanted my car repairing property, not half repaired. And if Victor Motors weren't able to do it themselves I'd have rather simply been informed of this and given the choice to decline the work that I didnt want and that was totally unnecessary.The thing that has upset me was that the next mechanics I went to told me I was very over charged here. There was absolutely terrible communication from the mechanics, for not informing me of the actual diagnosis on the phone when I rang him multiple times for an update and diagnostic before he did work. If i had been informed of the real issue I wouldn't habe declined the 'half' work.His actual response to me was that ''AC is a luxury'' (I am moving to Darwin, and that is my decisionto make not his) And that I should just sell the car without AC and 'not tell the future buyers that the AC isn't working'. The car WAS mobile enough for me to drive it to the correct repair place if i had been given the actual diagnosis. This would have been my first choice.Overall just didn't find him honest.

Quoted one price and then overcharged once the job was completed. If I had known this I would have taken the car somewhere else where I wouldn’t have been ripped off.

Put my car in with victor motors Amy car was running rough. They put it on a test and diagnosed a gas converter fault and quoted on the invoice “needs new converter “ charged $55 for the testing. Got a quote from Luke the boss for supply and fit $1140 two to three weeks later the quote jumped $1400 from the lady behind the desk. Got another l.p.g specialist to look at it and they did a test. The diagnosis was an oxygen sensory hose it cost less than $300 for supply and fit. Now the vehicle has no problems and runs great!.called victor motors and spoke to Luke I explained to him the misdiagnosis he did not apologise, did not offer money back, didn’t really seem to care he just said the misdiagnosis was bad for business!. Luke your right! It is bad for business!.

Took my car to Victor motors after spending a fortune elsewhere on fuel injectors trying to get my car running smoothly. Luke diagnosed the problem as an incorrect HT lead that had been installed by previous mechanic. New lead was installed at $120 (after having spent nearly $1000 elsewhere and being told That's the best we can do".) Highly recommended and honest."
