William Jolly Bridge
Really nice bridge, has character. Lights up well at night time and is a lovely sight from nearby buildings, and especially the southern train services that pass by. Features footpaths on both sides and is toll free for vehicles, which is always an added bonus. Would recommend viewing and traversing.

Does bridge things. 10/10 for not falling down like some other bridges.

The William Jolly Bridge is a great connection way from South Brisbane to Milton and other North Western suburbs. Accessible by pedestrian, bicycle, skateboard, scooter, car and motorcycle. The bridge is lit up by artistic expressions at times via 2 industrial size projection posts on either side of the bridge. The bridge was recently host to multiple traffic stopping protests by a gathering of like minded passivists who call themselves Extinction Rebellion and were aiming to have the government acknowledge the current climate issues and enact a climate emergency. The William Jolly Bridge is heritage listed and was finished being built in 1932, taking 4 years to complete. The total span of the bridge is approximately 500 metres and consists of 3 rainbow arches on each side, and was the first of its type in Australia. The nearby Go Between Bridge was designed and built to alleviate some of the traffic over the William Jolly Bridge however as the Go Between Bridge is a toll bridge and the William Jolly Bridge is only approx 1km driving distance away and remains a free bridge, the Go Between Bridge has failed to perform its task and currently operates at under capacity, while the William Jolly Bridge remains over used during peak hour traffic. It's a lovely bridge to look at, especially when there is art shining upon it at night. It's definitely an eye capturing sight, and an amazingly picturesque photograph.

Brilliant bridge, perfect for walking and driving across. How bout some colour though? I feel it is lacking in character as it is painted a dull white. Besides the fact that it looks dull and boring, it is a tremendous bridge. The bridge has a warm atmosphere and makes for a terrific trip across the river. The texture of the concrete arches painted white is a tad rough though. Considering all of the above, I think it would be appropriate to give this bridge a 7.8 out of 10. With a touch of colour it would come in at around an 8.5 out of 10.

It's a beautiful old bridge the only problem is the disrespectful people that put graffiti or tag the bridge with logos and through their rubbish on the ground I don't understand how some people don't take pride in the place they live i don't know maybe it's just me but it seems like there's no respect anymore still it's a beautiful old bridge and the park underneath it is beautiful as well worth a look definitely

Reliably connects two bits of land together over a river and doesn't even charge you for using it. Incredible value.
