A wonderful place run by a couple who clearly put a lot of care and attention into ensuring the best stay.Beautifully decorated rooms, with fresh flowers and home-made tiling. A spacious bedroom with big beds and big en-suite showers, and a well-furnished kitchen.Breakfast supplied (fresh eggs, jam, butter, bread, cereal, milk and tomatoes), alongside birdseed to feed the visiting King Parrots and an apple to feed the alpacas (Leo and Ajax).It is a little slice of paradise - quiet, tranquil and cosy and eco-friendly to boot (cottages are powered by solar).

Beautifully furnished self-contained, off-the-grid cottages. Owners are lovely and check in regularly to make sure all is well and nothing is running low. Love the fireplaces and seclusion. Only 4 cottages on the property and all a good distance from each other to ensure privacy. Mobile reception is poor with everyone but Telstra but is a good chance to disconnect.

Loved this little cottage! So clean and neat, it was fantastic to get away from the hustle and bustle just to relax on the verandah with the birds. Nice roaring fire to keep us toasty as well. Definitely a romantic getaway. Although theres no wifi, you wont miss it! Cute alpacas too!

Best place to stay in Lakes Entrance, great service,clean and beautiful romantic cottages. Very fresh breakfast and very friendly owners. We loved the Alpacas thank you Peter for taking the time to feed them with my daughter.

A gorgeous cottage with spectacular views. Very clean! Friendly service. The fire was just perfect after a bath outside. My husband and I will be back for sure.

This is easily the best place to stay when visiting Lakes Entrance. The accommodation is cosy, clean and surrounded by beautiful wildlife. Peter was a wonderful host; friendly, informative and constantly provided firewood and checked in to see if we’d like more breakfast provisions. We walked around the property, hand-fed King parrots and met the beautifully goofy alpacas. Overall, I’d say that staying at Araluen Park Cottages and exploring what it has to offer, is one of the top things tourists should do when visiting Lakes.

What a great hidden gem! I had never been to this part of Victoria and we spent a wonderful 3 day weekend here. The cabins are spaced apart enough to provide privacy but close enough to not feel isolated. The Alpacas provided entertainment and a wake up one morning! The cottages are decorated with country charm and the fireplace is the best feature. There is no heat or air conditioning but the fire is enough to beat the cold and it wasn't too hot for us. The beds are comfortable, we were in the 2 bedroom cottage. The breakfast provided is fresh eggs, bacon and milk. The kitchen is perfectly stocked to cook up your brekkie and grill on the deck. I loved the fact that breakfast was supplied uncooked so you can make it to your taste whenever. The bacon was amazing! I totally recommend this place and hope to go back. They are cash only.

The environment is prefect and is a retreat itself in this location. There are alpacas on site that you can feed and also wild birds that asking you to feed them every morning. A perfect getaway and 100% satisfied our stay.You can fire up the heater with wood at night time which you not always see in a city life.Owner also provided homemade butter, homemade jams, eggs, tomato, bacon for you to make you own breakfast which also another surprise for us.The location of the cottages are in the NBN blackspot and bad internet data location which means almost no internet connection. However, why not enjoy the environment instead of looking at your phone during your getaway :)

Only a short drive in the heights above Lakes Entrance, this is the place to stay if you desire, peace and privacy in a luxurious cottage surrounded by birdlife and nature.
