Really tasty food, would recommend the pot pie or steak sandwich

Really cool pub that’s a little bit out of the way but good in that it’s hidden and not a lot of crazy / busy around it.Had a good dinner over the weekend with some friends, standard pub food with beer but I liked the experience of coming to this place :)

The food was just fine but not great - especially considering the price we paid. I was reasonably happy that the fish came with coleslaw, but there was so little, there was barely enough to fit on the fork and it was quite flavourless too. Would be nice if meals came with the option of salad or veg instead of a plate full of chips. However, the ambience certainly made up for what the food was lacking. Great place to go and have a drink, but I won’t be back for their meals.

Had my son's 1st Birthday here on the weekend. Staff were great, friendly and very accommodating. We had the feasting menu for our guests and the food was fantastic and so delicious. Ourselves and our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. I only wish we had ordered more. The venue was perfect and rustic and the band and entertainment we hired added to the wonderful atmosphere.I would definitely go here again for a casual lunch or dinner or, hire the venue again for future events.Thank you for making my son's 1st birthday a memorable one!

It was a disappointing experience. It was overpriced and $48 for a steak and a handful of chips and no salad or vegetables (plus charged $3 extra because we asked for mushroom sauce instead = $51 for a medium sized steak and small basket of chips - Thats All, disgustingly overpriced!!!). When asked if this was correct and could we have salad as well, was told No. this place used to have a nice country feel but not anymore. $16 for a very small kids meal. Staff were not friendly or accommodating. Such a terrible experience for a family birthday celebration.

Outside dining is not the best depending on where you are seated, All decent seating areas were reserved. The only area which was not reserved in which we chose to sit constantly had tree leaves falling into my food and drink. Service was prompt and friendly A1. food was nice, nice atmosphere with a rustic feel. There is a carpark at the rear of the venue, not overly large but the other option is roadside parking. It would be nice for all dining table areas to be paved to be as comfortable as the popular highly reserved areas. Otherwise a nice experience.

Kids enjoyed their meals (pizza, nuggets with chips)... chicken pot pie with mash was tasty, chicken schnitzel had a nice gravy - chips were unevenly salted... some were very salty :-(We had a table inside, next to a warming fireplace - nice atmosphere.

Very busy over Easter which might or might not have resulted in sub-standard quality of the food. Garlic bread had sprinkled bits of butter on warm bread. Might reconsider returning here for a meal, though the garden is a nice setting for a drink perhaps

What a beautiful old place filled with do much character and history. Staff lovely and cheerful. The food was good, with a varied menu and good prices. The London pie was really good and a perfect size. Lots of people and all spread out lots of different sections. Being there when the jacaranda trees were in full purple bloom made it even better. I think this may be somewhere to visit more often.

Went here for dinner with my wife. The premises is lovely. Food was decent enough quality but a bit overpriced and small portions. Cost $118- for a Schnitty, a steak, garlic bread, a schooner of great northern and an apple cider. Steak was nice and the schnitty tasted good but small serving sizes. The Diane gravy was terrible. The staff seemed nice enough. My biggest disappointment is the no cash policy. Would of stayed longer and spent much more had they accepted cash but I will take my business to someone who gives me that option. I wouldn't have eaten dinner there because of this but I was staying at the Atura who also don't accept cash. I understand your cash policy is to make your life a little easier but when it affects the customer experience I think it should be reconsidered. Not telling you how to run your business, just my 2 cents on what would lead to me being a rerurning customer and spending more in your establishment. There were others we were talking too who felt the same.
