Exactly adjacent to the Milawa cheese factory, this cute little cafe serves amazing bakery stuff including some.amazing desserts and Chai but not that great coffee.

Very unpleasant experience, one would assume when given a buzzer to take back to their table after ordering that you are to collect your order from the counter when buzzer alarms... apparently not!!!I was not informed by staff that there was table service, so when I went to collect my order I was treated rudely by staff.So I would suggest when customers are ordering to please notify them that there is table service.I then watched other patrons go to collect their orders also when the buzzer goes off, to also be treated poorly.Sign stated short staffed, which is totally understandable, so wouldn't having customers collect their own orders be more productive??

We visited one lunch time and there was nothing left but the sausage rolls which was below average and quite dry. Returned the following morning to give the baked goods a try upon opening and were blown away. Lovely coffee and cruffins to die for!

Laugh of the day…after selecting from a very limited range (at about 1 pm) I asked for our baguette roll to be toasted. I was told by server that they couldn’t because they didn’t have a chef!! I couldn’t believe my ears so I had to ask a second time. Yep… no chef to toast a roll!! Clearly they have very specialised staff. It made me wonder who was the Cordon Bleue chef that made the roll in the first place.The bread and butter pudding was delish and hence the extra star on what was otherwise a 1 star experience.

This is one of the better foodie places to visit in the region. A step up from all of the regular bistro/pub type places in Benalla you will get a lovely selection of baked goods, cheeses and local beers.The charcuterie board was really tasty and a good filler for two people. You can’t go past the treats with shortbreads and caramelized popcorn along with fresh baked pastries.Top this off with really friendly service and it’s worth heading out to this out of the way eatery.

Food and coffee was great. Very unhappy with the way food is delivered to tables as they use a alarm to locate customers in there small shop. Felt like i was waking up to my alarm in the morning or a constant truck backing up. Unpleasant experience not being able to have a conversation without a constant beeping throughout the shop. Love the shops atmosphere just get rid of the alarms

Beautiful location but unfortunately not Coeliac friendly. Ordered a gluten free cheese board. They brought out the regular board. When we alerted them to the crackers and breads not being gluten free, they took the plate away and returned with the same board which was still covered in the crumbs from where the original crackers were just removed. The crumbs had made contact with the cheese.On top of this, the generous serve of breads and crackers were replaced with a pinch bowl of maybe 10 sakata rice crackers. Not great service or value for money from a $35 cheese plate.
