I have never been more satisfied with this set menu than any other restaurant. Every plate was full to the top. My partner and I were actually amazed, we always get set menus from other restaurants that are never decent size. You will get your money worth 8 plates $95 including steak and chicken.Staff were on the ball and genuinely care about service!

Food was lovely. There's a set menu which gives you a variety of all the food. The restaurant was a bit loud but still ok to dine. Service was great. Only thing I'd fault would be the side of salad, the leaf of choice was bitter and unfortunately we didn't end up eating it

The food is delicious and it’s such a nice atmosphere. Staff also really lovely. Food is pricy but worth it - especially the duck! Oh and the bread! burrata is amazing too!

Another terrific Melbourne venue. Each dish is so good, very tasty. Bright and breezing service. Great atmosphere and they even have an event space!!

We attended a wedding here. The atmosphere wonderful and food was delicious (forgot to take photo before we started eating!) . Staff attentive.

Amazing atmosphere for somewhere that feels really isolated (whilst still being located in outer South Melbourne). They were quite busy so service was rather slow but I’d heard that the food was fantastic so we were okay to wait.Unfortunately it didn’t particularly deliver in my view, there wasn’t really one dish that I would order again and while it’s not to say that it wasn’t edible it was by no means memorable and for the price I certainly expected more.I had a porterhouse for my main which tasted very charred. The chocolate nemesis dessert was the most impressive thing we tried but not enough to salvage the experience from my perspective

An amazing dining experience. Staff were absolutely incredible. The room got a bit rowdy but I guess it’s the festive season. People smoked outside in the courtyard which was kinda gross but staying inside was amazing anyway. We LOVED it and we’ll be back asap.

ABSOLUTELY recommend! Great hidden spot! My partner stumbled across this place after working in the area. Amazing atmosphere with a beautiful fresh wood fire smell from the kitchen as you enter. Open air kitchen right next to the dining room area. The staff where extremely attentive and lots of them! The place itself is a beautiful newly renovated building which was a great dining experience and features a more relaxed bar area. The food was above and beyond our expections (we had none). Australian style with a fine dining feel! We orders the yellowtail and cauliflower main and WOWIE best of the both I've had in a long time. For sides we had the house bread with dukka which was hot and fresh with shoestring fries! Would definitely return

My partner took me here for my birthday with friends and this place was just awesome. The food was an all you eat buffet a fantastic range of food and desserts to choose from and it was really delicious. You can also choose on the menu food to order as well but minimal but the buffet was more than enough. The drinks (cocktails) were just divine. The staff were super friendly and they made you so welcome it was just magnificent. The place was just warm, cosy and so inviting the ambience was great. I'm so happy I came here as it was my first time experience and it was just awesome. Thank you Half Acre for the delicious food, mouth watering cocktails and super friendly professional service. It just an amazing experience.
