This is a wonderful school, if you're in year 7. After which they forget about you, I attended this school from year 7-10 and suffered severe depression and anxiety from year 8 onwards. One counsellor was very kind and I felt comfortable talking to her because of the confidentiality agreement all therapists must abide by, however I had a house coordinator who would call me out of class and ask the exact same questions as the counsellor, I felt extremely uncomfortable answering them and even more so when she would comment on my visible injuries. The counsellors are wonderful and did help a lot in boosting my confidence when it came to alternate options for exams and such, allowing me to come to school late when I was having a bad day rather than not going at all. Overall, the teaching at this school is okay, the social situation is absolutely horrible and I would not recommend it for any shy, anxious or mentally ill people. The counsellors, whilst not amazing, are much better than the ones at my current school as well as their ability to cater to mental illness if you open up about it.EDIT: By the way, do NOT enter this school if you are planning on doing drama as a subject. Mrs Keats is amazing but there is an alternate drama teacher who gave me D's simply because she didn't like me. She told my friend and I to do particular things in our assessment and then marked us DOWN for following her instructions. For some context I did extra curricular drama for over 6 years, never getting less than an 89/100 for the formal assessments.

Not a good learning environment. Obsessed with everyone being perfect and one way. Most teachers don't know what they are doing. Overall i have mainly witnessed many people falling into mental issues due to the schools attitude

As a parent of 3 girls we have had a really positive experience with staff, teachers and a wonderful community spirit. My daughters graduated with excellent atars and lovely friends. My youngest is starting next year.Teachers are engaging with excellent resources and the principal is always involved and well informed.

Fabulous school, my daughter moved to this school in year 9 and it has totally changed her life. She is so happy and the education is brilliant. I would highly recommend this school.

I am a year 9 student at Bennies. I am loving the new Hildegard Center. The Dance and Drama rooms are amazing. All the teachers are very kind, helpful and they boost their students conference. I definitely recommend sending your daughter to this amazing school!❤️

I was a student of this school. And I hated every minute of it. From pretentious princesses that think they're at the most exclusive grammar school in Australia, it's an ordinary Catholic girls school. Think bullying. Eating disorders. Cliques from hell. Teachers lack compassion and understanding, and are not inclusive. I finished year 11 and 12 at a completely different school, and achieved far better in my final results and never looked back.Do your kids a favour and send them to St Leo's. My brother's attended this school and it was like chalk and cheese. World's apart. At Leo's they seriously care about the students, achieving your learning goals and looking after families.

All the teachers do is just run around and make sure everyone is perfect, my friend covered up her pimple because she was self conscious about it and one of our teachers yelled at her to go take it off. They don’t understand. I moved here 2 years ago and I regret it. The girls were welcoming to begin with but then their true colours started to show, it went from calling me names to almost ripping my hair out in the bathroom cubicle. It’s not just the bullying, it’s also the teachers. They do not care about you, they only care about our reputation, so, they send out newsletters that look really nice to try and convince people to come to our school, the teachers scream at us to be on best behaviour otherwise. So all the year 7s walk in and like it because everyone’s being nice however THEY DO NOT KNOW that our school is actually bad. In year 7 the first few months are pretty ok, but then you are forgotten about. All the orientation days we are told to be nice to year 7s, And try to make it fun. YEAR 6s DO NOT COME HERE. IM WRITING A REVIEW FOR YOUR SAKE! THE EDUCATION,TEACHERS AND STUDENTS ARE TERRIBLE! I, myself, a st bennies student feel ashamed and cheated on because they lied to me, this school isn’t good.
