Quality of their meat is always top notch. Snags and lamb are great. Picked up some pork ribs last weekend and they were beautiful, not to mention great value!

They did the catering at my daughter's wedding, and I couldn't fault a single thing. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Fantastic value for money - I would highly recommend them.

My family have bought Maugers meat for many, many, many, many- maybe 40+ - years. Used to take it back to Sydney. Now living in Bowral and was excited when they opened a shop locally. Alas terrible service and the worst meat I've ever eaten. Sorry, won't be going back and know others of the same opinion.

The best steak I have had in recent memory. I bought two freshly cut scotch fillets from the Burrawang store. Cooked medium rare on the bbq, I was overwhelmed with the flavour of this steak. I could almost taste the grass the cows had been eating. A great demonstration of the benefits of paddock to plate eating, as I understand these guys grow and butcher all of their own meat locally. Should be at the top of your list if looking for meat in the Southern Highlands.

Mauger is an absolute don. He garners so much respect in the Highlands and for good reason. Everyone that works at either of the Maugers stores in Burrawang or Moss Vale are as professional and friendly as butchers come. It's evident that everyone enjoys working there. The quality of meat is the best I've ever had. The selection of goods are better in Moss Vale but Burrawang is more of a specialty, pre-order and catering type front. 0 faults from my many visits to Mauger's. Blessed to have a butcher this good if you live locally.

Unprofessional late and meat was dry and tasteless... They must have changed hands as we were under impression this was best butcher. Big mistake for my wedding!! They arrived with no knives or chopping boards for the meat. My guests had to wait over an hour to be served... Very disappointed, there are many great butchers in Southernhighlands... Maugers is not one of them.
