Wonderful place to visit. A little far to reach from the city center of Melbourne, it takes about 3 h to get there, 1h by train till Frankston and 2 h by bus till Portsea. Then you can choose to walk (or take a tourist bus, 10$ return fare) to get to the promontory where you can admire, on one side, the bay of Melbourne, the wild waves of the ocean on the other side. The site has been also a military outpost that now you can visit for free. It is forbidden to swim around this place because of the dangerous currents that flow dangerously around the mouth of the bay. Ok the trip is quite long but is really enjoyable as you can see a lot of places along the coastal area.

Gorgeous coastline full of beaches, rock pools and walking tracks, suitable for all ages.. Mornington Peninsula is also a food and wine lovers delight with many farms offering a variety of fresh produce.

The walk from Cape Schanck to Bushrangers Bay is amazing. Recommend going early in the day to beat the heat and to see local wildlife. Watch for snakes!

Stunningly beautiful! Love the cliffs, rock beaches, and the little waterfall that we were lucky enough to see really flowing due to heavy rainfalls... doesn't normally flow as much, so a real treat!!

So beautiful down here. I was lucky enough to do a bit of cycling around the peninsula over the weekend. So much to see and do.Great wineries, beaches and plenty of hustle in the towns, whilst quiet out the back of them.Great place for a weekend escape.

The view of the sea was exceptional. On a negative side flies were really discomforting. Although we reached there prepared with insect repellent. I also recommend face net to keep flies away from your face. Insect repellent with highest strength is required.

Great track for walking/hiking with breathtaking views of the coast. The white sandy beach contrasted by the nearby basalt cliffs and rugged coast beyond makes exercise that little bit extra.
