This is a haven for rare plants and animals, including some species which are only found here.

Really nice nature walk, was greeted by some friendly kookaburras. I got a little bit lost trying to find the entrance from the car park but eventually made it there. Took some beautiful photos from the first small bridge to the right.

What a lovely spot. I headed down here at daybreak because a local told me it's a great place to spot Wallabies. Literally as SOON as I walked over the first little bridge...I came across one that hopped away before i could snap a piccie! I'll be back... But next time I'll tip toe!!

Lots of local native plants presented in a way that makes it easy to get to know them. It's nice to visit at different times of year to see various plants in flower.

Pearl Beach itself is quite a posh area of the Central Coast. Just went in for the drive and discovered the arboretum. I was very impressed with what was effectively a tree museum. 700m (felt like more) of a meandering circular path, taking you through forest and wetland landscape. Established giant trees alongside newly planted ones, with informational signposts everywhere. Beautiful dark green forest with some open land. Evidence of bandicoots around and an extremely portly kookaburra. Saw a snake sign but fortunately no snake was about. However, in a lawned area called “The Pleasance,” my partner had his first ever encounter with a couple of leeches- you have been warned! Nature lovers- I cannot recommend this gem if a spot highly enough♥️.

Trees Beautiful, Lack of open public toilet (least that I could find - no directions) a big problem. There was a facility but that was tied to the tennis and anyway was loccked.

The kids enjoyed a walk through and saw some interesting plants and insects. Easy walking track all the way around with some small bridges which could be tricky for prams but otherwise fairly accessible. Takes around 30-40 minutes to do the loop with young kids.

We more or less stumbled over this arboretum on an exploratory drive. Lots of wetsclerophyll natural vegetation including Cabbage Palms, Macrozamia communis and Xanthorrhoea arborea. The arboretum surprisingly also includes a number of Queensland species such as Davidsonia pruriens and Neisosperma whitei. Labelling was quite good and very good interpretive signage. We’ll worth a look if in the Pearl Beach Patonga area.
