Would not recommend and wouldn’t go back. They weren’t busy but we still had to wait a long time for food. At least they apologised and were friendly. I thought by beef teppanyaki was below average and had a really unusually thick sauce for a Japanese dish. It all made sense when I heard the staff speak Korean in the kitchen... I think anyone can cook good Japanese food but you really should pay attention to how real Japanese chefs cook it of you’re not Japanese. The beans in my dish were all shrivelled up and over cooked. On the plus side my partner enjoyed her salmon teriyaki but when I tasted it I thought it was pretty average. There are much better Japanese places around that are actually run by Japanese people. they were very friendly so I want to see them do well but I really think they need to focus on improving the taste of the food.

Delicious, fresh Japanese food in a cosy setting. The tempura was super crispy, the gyoza were full of flavour and the sashimi was super fresh. Will definitely be back!

Always a great time! Staff are incredibly friendly and hospitality is lovely! Dogs welcome outside which we love and they always turn the heater on as requested. Food is tasty and I’ve tried quite a few things on the menu! Great local restaurant for the community.

Cheerful service at reasonable prices. It's only a small restaurant but the staff really make you feel at home. The sashimi is fresh and the mains are ok. We had the sashimi deluxe. It was served on a large round plate with about 8pcs of salmon, 2pcs of tuna, 4pcs of kingfish and 1pc of scallop. The presentation was a little tacky with the aquarium ornament at the top of the plate. While the sashimi was fresh, it was served at room temperature, which lessened the experience. Serving the sashimi on a plate of ice and leaving out the aquarium ornament would have lifted it in my opinion. The sizzling beef yakiniku with rice was ok. The dish came out with minimal sizzle" which was somewhat disappointing. I personally thought it tasted more like Korean bulgogi instead of yakiniku

Very obvious change in management- staff extremely nonchalant and inattentive and the food was extremely slow to come out from the kitchen, and far too staggered for a group dining experience.Unfortunately though we were celebrating my aunt's birthday, she was served second to last. The food was nice but overall experience was poor and would certainly deter me from visiting again or referring others in the future. Very disappointing!

Wonderfully fresh and delicious range of sushi and sashimi. We have been coming to this local eatery on and off since they opened many years ago but never thought to post a review, however recent changes to management has brought the food and the service up to a new level so we’ll definitely be coming back more often!! Well done!

Small local Japanese restaurant with a good variety of dishes. Everything from appetisers to rolls, sashimi, sushi and noodle dishes.Drinks from hot tea, calpis, soft drinks to sake (but no beer).Food is great and well presented.Quantity wise it maybe a little less than expectation.Price is reasonable.Ambience is nice and even seems like an okay spot for a date before a walk along the water

Delightful, tasty, fresh, authentic, modern Japanese restaurant. The serving sizes here are so generous and hearty. The food is so fresh and delicious with authentic flavours and ingredients. The seaweed and tofu salad was a refreshing and delicious accompaniment to my vegetable udon dish. The noodles are so tender and soft and the perfect consistency. The broth is hot and fresh and delicious and the vegetable tempura is crunchy and yummy. My companions really enjoyed their sizzling beef dish which was a delightful combination of meat and vegetables on a hot plate. All the food is so beautifully presented in authentic Japanese bowls and plates. All the food is so fresh and flavourful and warming. It's perfect for a cosy lunch or dinner alone or with your companions. The seating is comfortable and very spacious with plenty of seating options to choose from. The service here is friendly and welcoming and accomodating. They do their best to help you out.Overall I cannot fault this restaurant at all and I would definitely recommend it for lunch or dinner. It is now one of my favourite Japanese restaurants and I can't wait to come back !
