The first church opened in Katoomba in 1888 is now the junction for those less fortunate with shower and laundry facilities for the homeless, food parcels three times a week and a Sunday meal to alleviate loneliness, all are welcome. A very broad cross section of the local community interact here.

It's located in Katoomba. And is great for a yarn & fellowship over a coffee and a munch, just for a donation, which all funds go into helping the homeless. They also provide food parcels for all who needs it. On Sunday's they also have a fellowship lunch. Giving away food from there Food Recovery program for all. I visit regular, and volunteer. Only run by volunteers too.

Not a charity, but happy to ride on the reputation of one whilst there's no mention that the booksellers out front on market days are professional, profit seeking vendors. No transparency whatever.
