Argosy Motor Inn
After 3 weeks touring Tasmania and hotel hopping, the Argosy was one of best we have stayed in, fantastic modern king room with everything you need, not that you would need all the facilities as the bistro has excellent firsts class meals at very reasonable prices even better for seniors.Don’t hesitate to try the bistro or the overnight stay before heading to the Spirit of Tasmania.

The food was great value for the money, well presented and cooked beautifully with a variety of choices to choose from. The staff member were polite and friendly with a great location .

Lot of roadworks going on so was very dusty. A1 to motel room cleaners. Food is excellent, lots of for a reasonable price with doggie food safe container offered. Salads have a good variety. Well done management and all who make this wonderful motel. Look foward to my next stay in5 weeks.

Highly recommended! Convenient location, excellent refurbished spacious rooms and super friendly service!Staff were very welcoming, quick checkin and they even upgraded us to a nicer available room which was a pleasant and comforting surprise travelling with an infant! Stayed only for a night, so couldn’t take advantage of the nice bistro - next time!

Good little stop-over hotel in Devonport. Not the most picturesque surrounds but the hotel room we had was nice and the bistro next door was very handy with nice food. I wouldn't stay here for a long time but it was great after coming off the boat from Melbourne. Staff were lovely.

The chips were disgusting they were definitely recooked chips from the day before and tasted like they had been microwaved some were burnt others soggy with oil definitely reused old chips. Desert of a deep fried brioche bun was yucky the sauce was grainy cream in a can and a slither of icecream for 15.00.

Easy access. Rooms are clean. Very basic but it's sufficient as we only stayed a night. Super close to the Spirit of Tasmania so it was convenient. Short drive to some very nice cafes where you can get delicious breakfast.

Location is good. The Bistro provided good food. And overall the staff were friendly. However, having asked for two rooms on ground floor (because 3 people used mobility aids) we were informed that a room had been moved and it was now upstairs. For our troubles we were given a free meal and a shrugged apology. Not really good enough given the circumstances
