Hot Property

Thought I would provide some feedback as a renter. Moved into an almost new apartment and stayed 4 years with my 3 young kids. When I moved out they decided that the walls would need to be re-painted as they were not in the same pristine condition as when I moved in (scuff marks and such). So they claimed expenses for re-painting the entire apartment on me.Thing was, the rental market was so hot that it was rented out within less than a week of me leaving. As such they never actually painted the thing. But they still chased me for my bond and a lot more to cover it.I had moved to another part of Australia and fought it with QSTARS who were good, but to actually get my bond money back I would need to go to the Toowoomba Courthouse as that was the only place it could be heard. It wasn't worth my while, and so by default, my bond money went to the estate agent. I guess the law on balance is on the side of the estate agents.I think they knew they were in the wrong, having taken my bond money already, and I did not hear for them for over a year. Then out of the blue they started chasing me for the excess over the bond amount (When we rented it was through Century 21, and they sold their rent book to Hot Property, who chased us after the year of hearing nothing). They wanted me to pay for painting an apartment that was never even painted.I can understand why they have lots of positive ratings here. With the real estate market so good for so long how could people not be happy. But as a renter I feel we often don't provide enough feedback like this as we are scared the agents will hold a grudge and who do we then rent from? I feel that, in my case at least, they were just greedy - they look at people's rightful bond money as icing on the cake. Money trumps integrity.

Always friendly, professional, and willing to work to achieve an overall great experience during the purchasing process. Nothing is ever any trouble. We are huge Bridget, Jack and Lachie fans of Hot Property. We have been renting a year and let me say from the very start the property managers have been fantastic I mean really good. We have amazing landlords and nothing is ever an issue. We have always been friends with our property managers and this is no different. Such a great family company

Would not recommend renting a property through Jacob Carlie. Nevers calls you back, won't come out & speak face to face & happy to play with your time & money via being keyboard warrior.Very disappointed in this experience & unfortunately do not have the time to argue the safety & had to buy in this current market for our families well being.

He is always available to talk through any concerns, has provided very helpful advice and ensured maintenance requests were completed in a timely manner, with feedback provided on the outcome, all while developing a rapour with the tenant. I am in Sydney moving to Toowoomba. I had a wonderful experience dealing with Marnie Hall. Haven't met her yet but from my experience communicating with her I can say she has been so helpful, prompt with her responses and so friendly on the phone. Just signed my lease today. Everything went so smoothly.

They were the property managers for our duplex. Mostly satisfactory service, however, when a tenant defaulted, the communication with us was not where it needed to be. We ended up significantly out of pocket due to the property manager not getting our prior approval about expenses exceeding the estimate that she provided earlier.If you use them as property managers, just make it clear that all expenses need your explicit approval, or you will not pay them.

I have recently had the pleasure of working with Jack Reid from Qld Hot Property. From the beginning Jack was easy to work with due to his quiet calm manner, honesty and wealth of knowledge. He is great at communicating and always returns emails and phone calls promptly. If he didn’t know the answer to my many questions he would find out in a timely manner. No question seemed too big an ask. I have no hesitation in recommending Jack for any of your property needs.

Was so encouraged by Jacob. In the middle of house hunting, it can be exhausting, and Jacob made the time for me to have a second inspection. The house was so much better than I remembered when I was busy going from inspection to inspection. Jacob was understanding of that, and I really appreciated it.

QHP have been immaculate in getting us into our new rental. They processed our rental application in a matter of days, super easy communication and clear instructions, receptionist Erin is so lovely every time I call with questions, and our property manager Jack has made the transition super easy and stress free! So far I would recommend QHP to my mates for sure!
